First of all, nice work ramesh bhai.. accha idea tha yaar to make a thread for all IIT B-skools...

Now for the intro... My name is Kunal Pacheriwala.. Have a workex of 3 years, mostly in the IT setor... I guess Shekar, maxter and ExpandingHorizon have already given a very good intro about our first impressions of this place.. It's a very vibrant and lively student community out here... But then, as all IIT's, even this one's got some strict rules in place... All that I am confident about is that we would not be wanting for things to do during the span of two years that we spend out here... the only problems we are facing as of now:

come on, where are the other IITians? the last few days saw us being introduced to the various clubs and committees here...and today there was a guest lecture by the CEO of ICI Uniqema...looking forward to an off day tomorrow so that we can work on stats and organisational behaviour assignments

Haha. I saw some mail regarding the stats assignment on the som email. It seems she has uploaded it on Manhattan. Theres lotsa confusion going on right now about whether we need to do it on SAS...
by the way, forgot to mention another thing that i'm looking forward to tomorrow...being able to get up at my leisure!!

arre aree abhishek, kunal and others, aisa na bolo, hum hain na I know i am a bit late, but then the weekend was spent visiting friends and relatives, and therafter we got suddenly bombarded with fin, mark, eco classes. Coming to terms with this new life here took some time, mainly because there is too much to do and too little time. The day passes so quickly and before we can even touch our assignments or stuff, we are at bed snoring. The profs are awesome and cordial, though it does feel a li'l unreal to be taught by Prof. PK Jain (the GOD of Accounting), but i guess we ought to get used to it....the campus is awesome, the junta fulled with enthu, and lotsa avenues to hang out, baddy courts, gym, swimming, TT, KLS, nescafe....its nothing less than awesome, the feeling tht the iit d campus brings. Buying a cycle is on everyone's mind...and the batch is gelling well together...

Great to see someone from DMS and VGSOM joining in ...

We had the PAN-IIT meet yesterday. Did any of you guys also come?
I couldnt join it .. But from what I heard, it was really good.
Rajat Gupta, Former Managing Director of McKinsey & Co. worldwide, was also a part of it.

Now the selection of clubs and committess are in full swing here ..
Too many to choose from .. So all seem to be pretty confused!

I guess this is what makes the B-school life so enriching. After 1 year of MBA i'm firmly of the opinion that all the extra and co-curricular activities will teach a lot more than some of the clasrrom teaching. From seniors point of view, the junior batch seems very enthu and this is great . A school is made or unmade by its students and it is great to see people gearing up to face the challange. Hope to have a great year with SOM08 batch .
