hi aditi ... i think 51000 for the hp 1615 is quit a good offer . i have selected compaq 2620 .. with an upgrade of 256 ddr for 49000 inclusive of tax. its similar to hp 1615 except 2620 has 60gb hdd. here is the link.
http://h50025.www5.hp.com/hpcom/in_e...8_EV889PA.html

if you are looking for laptop for somewhere about 44000 then u could go for preario 2254. the linkhttp://h50025.www5.hp.com/hpcom/in_en/11_29_64_4375_EQ600PA.html

ok then reply sson

hey aditi,

Well I am still here was just not able to access the net for some reasons. Well even I am a bit worried about the hostel letter, also because of the fact that we are being allocated the hostel outside the campus. I will give a call to the office tommorow...and will update u about the conversation.

About the laptop thing...compaq is the best choice when it comes to economy and relaibility. The thing you should take a note while buying a laptop should be it's extension capability in the coming future. i.e upgradation of differest aspects.

IF you are looking for a really cheap but reliable option go for Compaq Presario 2200 + series: http://h50025.www5.hp.com/hpcom/in_e...16summary.html

I am having the same version, but with a few tweeks of my own.

Also, do check out ACER laptops...They are offering quiet a good package...and they are good as well.

Rest...stay in touch...and keep rocking the place.

Regards,
Sarthak Taneja
