hey,
would beg to disagree on one point...agreed u will have a lead on retail cos when they come in..but an mba at the end of the day will form an integral part of the sector too...hence an mba nt knowing anything is too strong a statement..
u will need mba guys too in the sector..retail guys may do the business development but the mba guys will put in the processes....

would also agree with u abt reatils looking up and the salaries certainly going up...not only wal marts and tesco..but indian giants like reliance are foraying big time into this sector...so is bharti...so are a essar..
so this sector will be one of the hot ones fr the years to come...good to see people already tapping into it...
atb to all mrmm junta...
ciao

hi aditi,
first of all I am angry as you came to the campus and did not met any of us. You could have always contacted me for the same. By the way my cell no is 9899851455.
Yes as far as this years placements are concerned we have got close to 25 companies visiting the campus. In which three companies are offering more than 4 lacks package that is Madura garments, VIP and Titan industries. Rest of the companies have offered between 1.80 to 4.00 lacks.
No company below 1.80 has been allowed to come on campus. Other few companies are shoppers stop, RSH, spencers, sahara computers, my dollar store, raymonds, siyarams, Godrej agrovet, ITC IBD, reliance webworld, Nike, Planet Retail AC Neilson etc.
Yes the MRMM course is going to introduce from this year and I also heard that both the course PGDRMX and MRMM are being approved by AICTE. Good news na.
Yes now next question. Yes we might not be there at the time of your joining but we all aill meet you in different functions of the insti and would interact on the net also. We have not got any news of the new batch going to come from. But as I know that our course might get over by 15th june or 30 june. So if our course gets over by 15th your batch will start on 15th and so on.

My friend qwertyuiop let me inform you that we the students of retail are studying the same subjects what you are and even those subjects which are specific to retail. We will have an edge to an Normal MBA.
I also being an MBA is still doing specialized course in retail. Because I feel that there was something missing in me for retail and which I have got it by joining BIMTECH.

Dear Pulkit,
i disagreed with the fact that there will be no room for mba's in the retail sector since u guys are avaialable to the industry.agreed that you will be sought after by the retail chains, but lest we forget business is not run alone by specialised personnale....
in the retail sector there will be an equal need of specialised professionals such as your self and other mba junta....also i have gone through your curriculum, and agree to the fact that you are studying mostly the same subjects, but few process driven subjects are not there...then again i could be mistaken and you may not have published all your subjects in the brochure...
do take it that i have the utmost regard for people going in fr specialised masters, just the fact that because you doing it has given you an edge is what i dis-agree with...
