Re: Retail : the BIMTECH way - 17-04-2006, 07:35 PM

can you please throw some light on the placement scenario. what are the companies that are visiting the campus for recruiting retail students, the job profile they are offering ,the profile of the students, the fees of the course and is the course approved by aicte? thanks in advance

hello,

i am very sorry to reply you solate. but this was due to our placement procedure is going on. my friend in the initial mail i have already given thecompanies how have visited the campus for the internship process. all those companies in some way or the other are going to come to the campus with some more companies like, AC nelson, siyarams, raymonds, sahara, RSH, Candico, First Franchising, ITC-IBD, CRS health, etc.

i will also let u know some interns companies visiting the campus, shoppers stop, Spencers, lifestyle, THS, pyramid, reliance info, godrej agrovet, godrej and boyce, ritu wears, interior espania, food plus, planet sports, etc

students get the profile right from management trainee to dept. manager or floor manager etc. some profiles for the asst. merchandiser are also offered.

the tution fee is 1.65 lakh for the one year course and around 3 lakh for the 2 year MBA in retail. teh course is nor approved till yet but they have applied for it.

more over i had drafted a proper mail for you but why it was not added i do not know. more over there are many times access problems. but still i will try to update you all as soon as possible.

thanks

brother could u tell what kind of job profile one gets after graduation( I mean what all a pass out is suppossed to do, job responsibilities - it may diff for diff positions u have mentioned but can u subtantiate it furthet), moreover I think that retail is not that rewarding secor( financially) as average of 2 lakhs and max of 3.6 lakhs doesn't look that attractive.

thanks
