True ,the Employers may be willing to let you go early if the reason is pursuit academic interests but from the employers perspective it is equally if not more important for people in a leadership position to ensure proper transition to the new leader so that the project deadlines , commitments and expectations continue to be met with reasonable satisfaction. Trust me it is not always possible to wrap up within 1 month.

I know Suman... evn I was in your shoes when I got the call from Glakes... but this is the best way out !... we have our placements in between as well and the next batch will be admitted only after that... this gives u a chance to make a much informed decission.... we have to strike uniformity in the process... trust me i have seen situations like this... ppl getting admitted in univs and the transition, however difficult it seems, HAPPENS !

Hi FnS...

I had a small problem...I took GMAT and while selecting 5 institutes where I could forward my score..by mistake I ended up selecting the GLIM Executive Program...so is that ok or should I forward my score to the Full Time Program all over again...I will anyways have my score card at the time of interview....i.e. if I am called for one.....for cross checking my score...help me out if possible....thanks....

Help! - 05-10-2006, 12:43 PM

My friend is keen on applying to Great Lakes this year...has around 4 yrs experience...He had applied for CAT but due to an urgent project requirement is currently in UK....So that means he would be missing out on CAT for sure since he would return only in Dec....I want to know the approx time frame when he should take up the GMAT so that he can apply to Great Lakes.
Also at the time of sending the duly filled in app form should you have the original marksheet or a provisional one would do for the time being?
Pls shed some light on this particular case.
Looking forward to a quick reply.

Ask him to take the GMAT before submitting the form. By this he can submit the form by the online GMAT score..... All the proofs of scores and certificates wud be required at the time of the interview - this wud be communicated to you later !

Re: Great Lakes Admission Queries - 13-10-2006, 06:00 PM

hi glimmers..
got a small problem with the online reg..
with regards to the reco letter format, the document is given in PDF..and that means i'l have to download the stuff, and tell my 'whoever gonna write my reco' to WRITE down info in 3 sheets of paper.Would have been much easier if the documnet had been in MS WORD..then i cud'v given a soft copy to my reco guy & he could do everything on his comp, take a print and that's it! btw..that's how ISB is doin it..and i guess its so much more convenient for a b-school wannabe, while approaching his hot shot boss!!
i spoke to ad-com at GLIM..and they said its a technical thing and have to spk to some guy in mumbai!
was it the same way last year? any inputs people??
