no theres nothing like this.... each one of the candidates have to give reco letters.... OTHERWISE YOUR APPLICATION WON'T BE CONSIDERED...

if I go by my experience, I can tell u that it all depends on the rappot u build and the way u pitch ur career talks.... if these are done well, I dont think ur professional chances wud be jeopardised !

first let me apologise to u for the inconvinience.
Glakes is a student managed institute and the whole admission process is looked after by us... we, for the first time, are going for an online application to facilitate the process and putting everything in place in the midst of continuous exam, presentation, and case-studies posed a bit of a problem for us.
Pls bear with us for a couple of days... we are going online from 20th(approx)....

Could you all enlighten us a bit about the placements that we can look forward to at GLIM. What is the quality of placements and what salaries can an average student expect.
And do they have any foreign placements...?

Avg Salary: 7.3 L pa
IT --> COgnizant, IBM, INfy, ....
BAnks --> KOtak, Deutche, hdfc, citibanketc...
Consulting --> Mindtree, Tricolor, etc...
fmcg --> ITC, etc..
foreign placements --> YES.. multiple offers --> highest = 75000 usd
two batches down the line... let me assure you we are going to look at really something BIG. we have internal targets for ourselves to achieve and the way Glakes is maturing, let me assure you our batch itself is going to see a good rise in the avg sal.... rest assured, 08 batch wl have a very good placement season.
