Hi Rohit,
I cannot really comment if u will apply or not bcoz it will be ur personal decission, but would like to make u aware about the admission requirements.
1. We are looking for a batch composition of more than 98% ppl having work x of more than 2 yrs...
2. The calls wud be given out on the basis of naomalizing ur score against the highest and thereafter deciding the cut-off score... last year people with 650 or below GMAT score got thru'... (again, as i said, this yr calls wud depend on this yrs' applications and is independent of last yrs....)
Hope this wl help to guide u, if not puzzle u more

Re: Great Lakes Admission Queries - 18-09-2006, 04:06 PM

Hi..thanks a lot for posting that information...Of what i could make out...I think I can afford to try my luck and apply...though you have mentioned that the cut off score should be going up a few notches but no harm in trying...if it does not work out I will come back with a better score next time....i think the applications are out...so its time to go ahead....Also I wanted to know whether recommendations are mandatory while filling the form...because the GLIM site says that people with substantial work ex need to submit reccos....so are guys with 1 year of work ex also required to to do so???...thanks for the help....

If you are in IT industry there is every chance that you will be able to secure job again, given, companies are recruiting in thousands and market scene is that it will be the scene for at least a couple of years. My gut feeling is that 90 percentile may not be enough this year, that also, a year old. This is based on seeing the interview boards of Great Lakes closely last year. A decent score is always a plus. Hope it helps.
