Come on guys its time for us to get to know each other and share our dreams and aspirations.
I suppose there is already a yahoo group, but its not that active. This mail is intended to warm up a lil bit and get the GLimmers to rock.
Its in our hands to make our institute shine and get it in to the Top League . I hope glimmers might have understood this by know.
Anyways lets keep in touch and plan abt what we have to do there to make it a much better place to learn.

wat is the degree that u ll get... vll it b a MBA r PGD... do they come under AICTE.... and does it really matter... i have incidents of amity, rai, Icfai business school, satyabama.... do throw light dear...

Dear Chetan,
I came to know that AICTE/UGC will consider the colleges for accredition only after 5 years of their establishment.
Even ISB had the same problem (I donno if they sorted it out). But ISB says that as it neither offers a diploma nor a degree they have not sought recognition for PGPM from either the AICTE or the UGC.
When it comes to Satyabama and other institutes (which are deemed univs), AICTE made a notice , which apparently states that B.Tech degrees awarded by deemed universities would not be recognised, unless the courses were approved by the council.

I feel there is no point in worrying abt AICTE approval and things now. Anyway it takes 3 more yrs for GLakes to file for accredition consideration. But one of the main problems would be that it may stop students from enrolling to phd progs in USA and other parts of world. But then I feel there will be some kind of solution for this too.

Hi ALL,

ATTENTION PLEASE !!!

Called up Great Lakes to find out my status coz I havent received any mails/calls and classes r starting soon on 19th april.

THEY DROPPED A BIG BOMB ON MY HEAD

They said in the morning that they tried calling me up since friday to offer final admission, and since my cell was unreachable so they offered my seat to some one else.....

LIES LIES LIES

Now they say that if any seat becomes vacant then they will let me know......

I NEVER EXPECTED TO BE CHEATED IN THIS MANNER

All The Best TO THOSE WHO R JOINING GREAT LAKES

I AM NOT EXPECTING THEM TO TEACH U ALL BUSINESS ETIQUETTES SUCH AS HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY

i have utmost sympathy for you as even i was hearing all their lies
that the applications are being reviewed and kind of things and that each day
they promised to send the emails by the evening..
but this is the height of mismanagement...
anyways ... niw just concentrate on ur other calls

Hi avi,

ya...u r right...height of mismanagement

Well.....have had 3 kicks from non IIMs

Have a slim chance of another Bschool if the IIM guys reject their seat

By now I am quite drained and exhausted.

Dont have the patience for next year

Lets c wats stored for me in future
