i called up today morning and the lady told me that she had sent me the rejection letter yesterday itself.. when i said i had not received it .. she sent it to me again...
so guys .. i m out of the race.. all the best to u all...
it was quite a experience beinbg a part of this thread

chill man..theres noting left i know ...we'll soon join u dude...
yaar after we are not blind ..tye classes are beginning next monday and they are still reviewing the application..what a biggy shit this is..they just wanna be safe and hold on to few bucks if someone withdraws the seat even after paying 50k bucks..there wont be much ppl life those i can assure u...
No i have even started to thnk abt dubai or GMAT for nxt yr...u too strt planning and beging with the implementation...

Hi all,

I am in a fix. I got a call arnd 4 PM from GLIM. The lady told me that I have been offered admission and a mail regarding the same will be sent to me by evening.
I checked my mail right now, but have got no mail from GLIM.
Called up the institue and they said that everyone had left.
Dont know what to do? Should I treat the call as a formal confirmation or not since I was planning to resign tomorrow. Still my fate hangs in the middle of nowhere.

Where is the mail....i havent received any mail

No confirmation...no rejection....

All this drama has left a bad taste in my mouth.....I guess maverick.gem was right....they just wanna make sure that if someone withdraws at last moment, we r there to fill in that seat......I am sorry....but I had high regards for the institute....but this whole drama leaves a lot many questions unanswered...

Anyways...I am not gonna be ablle to join now even if I am selected....coz to get release from INFY i need to give at least 1 month notice...though officially it is 3 months....So in a 1 yr course...I cannot afford to lose 1 month..ie 10 percent...tht too in the start

But seniors.....we were not expecting this from the institute...1 week to go...and still no mail for admission.....I just cant stop laughing now....

Anyways...all the best to other...

chill Krish..it's never too late...just stop thinking abt this and start of with your other plans or calls if in hand...
u knw blaming the instt is not the way out..so i am planning to write to Dr Narasinham just giving my experience and highlighting the grey areas where prob they cud improve in future and may next time they cud take it in a much more planned way..
yaar afterall this is just a 2 yr old instt ..and procees will take time to come into place...
neways...I AM NOW UNSUBSCRIBING TO THIS AMAZING GROUP AND ATB TO EVERYBODY AND GLIM AND GLIM'ITES

Hi maverick....I am not blaming the institute yaar...just highlighted a few areas of concern...and as an applicant I do feel it is necessary...

Well....as some great soul rightly said....LIFE MOVES ON....and I firmly belief...Life is more than getting into a top B school...or life is more than getting into GLIM

seniors , please clarify certain doubts.........
I think these might have been discussed before in the group and I tried to search those in the heap of the pages but could't find the requisite links.

I am a software engineer from a top IT-MNC. I have 4.5 years of work ex.
I want to know the kind of placement that I can expect within the IT sector as a BDM/BA etc....For such a work-ex its not difficult to fetch 7lac in the IT industry today without an MBA......I understand MBA is not only about money.but then can you please provide me this year's data on the kind of salaries offered by the different IT companies to the students with such kind of an experience.

Also, I am very hopeful for the future of the institute and if joining, I am going to work for its betterment within my capacities, but I would appreciate if you could provide us the information on what are the concrete steps taken up by the management to market the course. Can we expect to feel PROUD throughout our lives to be a part of the institute or FEEL LIKE A PART OF ANY OTHER second tier institute of our country. I have strong intuitions for the former to happen though.

And lastly, I must say that although I have not been a very active participant in the group here...the enthusiasm of the guys here is amazing...........
