had my interviews on 11th at Blore... got a acceptance letter today.. they asked me to pay up by 24th Mar...
seniors.... pl help.... are the recruitment for this yr done..? where does the mean and median stand..? and wat complanies recruited for SCM...? any companies from the Food industry...? pl pl pl help as i m looking for a very specific sector and a specific profile ... reply asap...

Feels so good to say that, after all the trouble and energy spent to get in.

I took the interview on the 11th at Chennai. The place is very nice and the settings and seniors very friendly. Very down to earth place - loved it a lot.

Took the GET - don't know my score.

GD topic was liberalization - who does it benefit?
T'was a nice session, we had some brilliant people. Very nice points discussed and we concluded exactly on time - with just 5 seconds to spare.

PI - this is where they get u. If u're good at something - forget it they're not gonna ask anything about that. They get at your weakness.

and good luck for all those who r yet to get in.

well i jus wanna tell ou all.. as i have mentinoed before.. please DO NOT go by what the ppl tell you when u call up Great lakes.. if u have a letter saying "you are ON HOLD" then jus gp by that and dont worry about ppl on the waiting lise.. and as far as i can see the info about ppl on the waiting list is incorrect there are MANY ppl on the waiting list and not 20 as someone has been told..
i dont kow the consequence of that..and seriously do not understnd how thier system is working.. but all i can say is that wait it out.. who all are meant to be there.. will get in.. and also because.. many ppl who have been confirmed.. may also hav been selected in other instituites and there is a drop out scene as ppl have to pay up as soon as they get the leter..
so honestly these numbers dont mean anything..100 selected..whatever..

so everyone jus chill and pray and hope for the best

incedently i got a letter saying i am on the "waiting list"..

dude refer to the entire thread u will get an idea..this question is an oft repeated one and has been answeredd umpteen number of times..for more queries goto the college website..

there are still 4 more interview slots 2 in chennai,1 in mumbai,1 in delhi..but ideally speaking since u r apping now there is only one more slot that is next week slot at chennai..so app fast..CAT 93.88 is good and u stand a decent chance..so if u r interested app as fast as you can..

recruitment --hmmm..still 30 ppl more left most of em in the finance sector and ppl with specific requirements.considering that most of em are looking for lateral jobs..it is taking us time..anyways before we pass out that is by apr 30th all 130 shud be placed..

mean shud be above 7 lpa
median is arnd 6.5 lpa

SCM - datamatics is the only one which i know of.. of course you do have many IT companies recruiting for their ERP applications wherein you will be involved inSCM kinds work..

food industry -- hmm, i dont think any company of that sort has come coz none of us were really interested in that...right now college is trying to place candidates in areas where they want to work..so unless there is a requirement for a foods company i dont think we will focus on that industry..


u have a real good profile and judging by your earlier posts i guess you have an IIMA and L call whose results wouldn't have yet come.. call up college and ask them whether you can extend paying the fees, if they dont accede pay the advance and check your luck.. thats all i can say.. there are some interesting developments which are going on abt which i cant divulge now, but all i can say is college is on the path to stardom..its a matter of time before we arrive on the scene in a big way..till then its gonna be low profile..

Can u plz let us know what kind of questions does the Get had..i mean more of geometry, permutation and combinations.. and what in verbals...it will be a great help to all of us going for get...plz do post a reply ASAP.

Well, there have been a lot of posts about the GET here already and I don't think I'll be able to add anything new.

The GET - 75 q's in 90mins. 60/40 - quants/Verbal. thats the basic. Average difficulty and u also have the advantage of being able to answer in the order u wish to.

Verbal is not so tough. (except for some words that they had dug out of the lexicon)

Quants is a mix of easy to hard questions. Well, not a lot of hard questions as such, but u have some time consuming questions. Same stuff as other tests i guess - Algebra, profit and loss, simple interest, perm comb, probability etc. Pace urself well, make use of the fact that u can skip questions.
