recd mail 2day noon. dey say ll confirm on 31st, but dat ll b a wait in vain, i know, so completin my other appl.

First of all, for those of you who want to know about the place in Chennai and the people there, I want to say that the place was impressive. The facade of the building might sink your spirits, but you only need hang around the place for some time to understand the campus culture. I had to do so with my interview and GD slated for late in the afternoon.

The people I met there were really frfiendly and very frank. For instance, Vijai was part of the admission procedure, coordinating the process. He fielded questions that we put to him early on and he was well informed about the real scenario and more importantly very honest about the shortcomings of the institute. There was another person- Anand too who was kind enough to clarify my stand on a couple of issues. It certainly was good company.

The whole process was done with by about 2:30 pm and I was out. I got a letter saying that I am on the waiting list.

All the best to all taking part in the next phase.

YUp it means that there will be 60 odd seats for contention in delhi and mumbai interviews..all the very best guyz..may the best and fit candidates get in..

Seats this year have been increased to 160 from the existing 130..

so it means batch of 2006-2007 will have 160 classmates as opposed to 130 for our batch.. so people will have a real good chance provided they fit in great lakes eligibility criteria..

This is one of the best news i have heard...hope that ppl on waiting list and hold have a decent chance!! Waiting for March 31 st !!!! ....

Dear All,

I appeared for 11th March Int at kolkata.On 14th i got a mail from them that i have been put in the HOLD list.I just called up them and asked them abt the current status and was told that 90 ppl have been CONFIRMED so far ,20 r in WAITING LIST and abt the HOLD LIST,the lady didn't disclose.so, what i feel.....taking the current trend into consideration......on each Interview Date ,i think around 10-15 ppl are getting confirmed and abt 2-4 ppl r being put in the waiting list all over India.If this trend goes on then by the end of 25th March around 120 ppl(all total) would be confirmed and around 30 odd may be in the waiting list.so it adds upto to total of 150 odd seats.the real fight will be among the HOLD list ppl and that too for 10-15 seats.the above thing is a personal calculation and GLIM has no role in that one,except the info they gave (that 90 ppl have been CONFIRMED so far ,20 r in WAITING LIST ).

so can anyone give them a call and ask how many ppl have been put in the HOLD list,so that ppls like me who r in this list can hope on their luck.??

hi avi_15,

I am a fresher and have applied to Great Lakes with my Gmat( 730).

There were about 37 candidates for the process on the 11th at Chennai.

People started off with their GET from 8 am onwards at the place. The GDs and the PIs went on from about 9:30 onwards.
