i dont think it should be a issue but it will always be better to get a educational reco as it adds more to the veracity. thats my personal take..

It is advisable to get recos from people who know you professionally.

As far as essays are concerned, be honest and do some introspection before writing. For pattern and toughness of GET, please go through this thread. These have already been discussed here.

Hi!!

There is no other written test after GET. You will have the GD and Personal Interview on the same day.
