hi seniors,
i am a marine engineer with 2.5 years of work-ex
i have a score of 97.7% in CAT
breakup is :
Verbal - 99%
Quant - 72%
DI - 91%
do u think i have a chance at GLIM?
i heard that GLIM has an exchange program with IIT chicago.
how many ppl have gone to Chicago for this?
and in such a case does IIT Chicago gives a degree too?

very much..i would say real good chance... IN fact we have close to 4 marine engineers in our batch.. apply asap coz i believe u are not from chennai and app form has essays and reco letters which could take some time to fill up and send across..

we do have an option of getting another degree from IIT chicago and we can complete the course in 1 year as we would have completed other sufficient credits in great lakes itself. the PGPM diploma is signed by dean of IIT,chicago. IIT chiicago gives u a MBA degree.

my cat score 95.36 percentile.
so what is the last date to submit the form. i have 50 months of work ex.
i am coming to chennai for muy bim int so can i submit there on 22nd or 23rd
as on site it is written 24th is the last date for submition
as i hae read only 40 seats are left is there any chance that it will be filled up before 25th march int in chennai.
is there any fixed no of seat for all int days
please reply

Hi!

You have got a decent CAT percentile. The interviews in Chennai happen on every Saturdays till March 25th. For the March 25th slot, it is advisable for you to submit your form by March 22nd.

Regd the no of seats, there is no particular quota to be filled on interview dates. And the seats will not be filled up before March 25th. The management has taken care of this and has ensured fair chance for every applicant.

hey guys i wish to apply to glim and take GET need to know what kinda questions have come in GET so far ? like any different sections and all if so what r they? someone whos takin it so far plz help and excuse me if its posted earlier as someone said i cudnt find any post ...pls pput the post number in that case pls..someone HELPPP!!

GET is great lakes entrance test which is a computer based test comprising of 75 questions . 60% of questions will be from quant and 40% will be from verbal. The difficulty level is moderate and lower than that of CAT. GET can also be taken on the date of GD/PI.

Yeah I too called up the inst. and got the same reply. People on hold list will be intimated by 31st March. Dont know abt WL.

I have been trying to reach the admissions over phone since morning. If they are going to declare only on March 31st, what abt people who are currently working (i am working in CTS)?

if we make it thru how can we put the papers and leave... They say classes start on April 19th....????

I understand your point. I guess many of us are on the same boat and some of us lucky people will have to go thru a tough time with their employer.
