but manik.. if u really mean it.. i mean help to make the profiles of the students public, it would be great. this whole issue will be settled once in for all.

I attended my GD & PI in Chennai on Feb 18th...

Apparently for PI, the candidates of my panel (Panel-1), consisted of Cognizant employees... After my interview, the remaining 2 candidates were asked to go a different panel because the Panel was irritated to intervew Cognizant employees... (thats what the ADCOM told us & my friend was put in a diff Panel)..

Is there any possibility I was rejected bcoz of that (I'm not blaming anyone.... But if the panel members are irritated, they will not give enough points for my PI & I could be rejected as I know PI plays a very imp part of admissions... Damn my luck!!!!!!!!).. Infact the Panel asked me q's like "Is my company not bothered that so many employees are leaving & they've (the managers) have given very good recos; looks like they're very happy to send u off;"

I've already asked u the reason... When will I know it??????? (After all the admissions get over??????)

Yes there was a case where in that panel all IT people went. The panelists were bored because the applicants were mostly IT(not Cognizant only) guys. However, in each and every interview we had a student, who took care of all the needs of the interview such that uniformity was maintained. Also, questions like the ones u have cited do not prove anything(much worse questions were asked to many other ppl). However, ur performance would have depended on how you countered these questions, and in no way related to the panelists getting bored.

@prerit ... defaming this institution ??? rofl... y shud i do that.. they do that to themselves. regarding the insider's info... that u must ask the insider.. why even he/she was dejected by the state of affairs in his/her institution. i select a b-school which doesnt reserve seats like 50-60% for big shots. somewhere you dont hush up things and swipe them under the carpet. somewhere its worth to stick with those who only come via merit [i'm not sayin high scores alone... but sans the 'powerful recos'-only candidates]. And for heaven's sake, all my queries and concerns are NOT SUBTLE... blah blah. please go thro my other posts... change of deadlines isn't my only issue.
To tell the truth. I aint angry dude. I'm kindof relieved that I really didnt fall into pit. I didnt wanna lie all my life and say that I studied in a worthy/reputed institute (atleast at that point in time)

dude....its easy to find wrongs in any thing but it taugh to stand by the rites .

btw it seems tht u have not done ur research properly.....incomplete info cud be dangerous for u.....u dont even need the insiders info to access the profiles of the current students...its easily available online....u just need to search the rite place...i ll leave tht honour for u to do it urself...coz i dont really wanna share my research work with a person like u who just wanna debate for the sake of doing it....... i did my findings and chose this insti and um happy with it

well.. the info i have got is spot on. I want you to come clean on this forum. (well take part in the meeting scheduled for u today at glim ^^). If I tell anything on this forum (which apparently was passed by on by adcom), you will deny it, neverthless. So, the best thing to prove it, would be for you to do the honors.

dude.. u r mistaken.. they put the profile of 5 students of their current batch and say thats the profile of the entire batch. All other MBA institutes wont have any fear in posting their students profile, scores etc. But glim can never touch that level of transparency.

Dude.. I didnt ask for you to save me. but do save yourself. I'm sure you'll tell me one day 'Dude.. You were right.. Those things you said were true'.. I just hope you dont temme that.

Since few questions have been raised by you on the forums, I will expect that they are answered here only.I will request you to list down all your doubts/complaints/worries again and I am sure someone from GLakes will answer them.

But please avoid getting personal and talk like a 3 year old.We all are matured fellas here and dicussions can become constructive only if they are done objectively.

@daredevil... I feel this topic is the RIGHT place to raise questions regarding glim's adm process. I feel you already have a seperate thread on 'glim institute'. Now that the admission process is over and u need only info on joinin dat institiute, i guess you can go over to that topic and raise your doubts. I bet fns wud be so glad to see you there rather than here.

I guess I've posted my queries and concerns in this topic quite clearly. Y should I post them again. Its been nearly 4 days and NONE from glim have come forward with the convincing answers to my queries. They have either questioned my claims or cried foul.

As for being really 'Matured Individuals', I do request you both to answer me 3 simple questions which both fns and manik have failed to answer.

1) What is the least score of your admitted candidates (in gmat and cat.. separately)
2) Could you post the list and profile of those students who attended the interview on Mar-10.
3) If you are in the adcom, please answer me this. Y have you withheld the waiting list. Is it because you have reserved the seats for some last minute recommendations 'under pressure'. Y cant you make it public ? How many seats (or %) have you reserved for 'powerful recommendations'..

Now i believe a lot of PGs have problem understanding what I mean by 'powerful' (some have even pmmed me). I will explain.

Normal Recommendation :
You get recos from your immediate superior/one level above him (provided you have worked with him)/colleague/faculty in ur college (if workex is too low). In short the recommender should have known the person at a personal level enough to comment.

Powerful Recommendation :
You get a reco from a CEO (whom you have never met... nor even spoken to. But managed to get his push by friends-of-friends)/Leader in a political party (the worst kind... how could he differentiate btw a chimpanzee and Mckinsey - [excerpt frm uncle Bala]). If you claim that getting a reco from a CEO by working for 1-2 years in that firm is possible, then you must be really out of your mind.


There are other issues like Multiple Deadline Extension (from hereon let's name it the MDE phenomenon of GLIM), Mandatory Laptop purchase rule and the Refund amount of 10k for a payment of 6 lakhs.... I believe they have already been raised by a lot of other members in this topic. Still, none from glim has given a valid justification for em.
