Hi,
I'm Binoy. I had applied to Great Lakes for its PGPM programme but haven't recd any communication from them regarding my status for the GD/PI round. Also after browsing through the great lakes site I came to know that I have not been shortlisted.
Now I would like to know that how will I come to know whether my application has been kept under the hold, hold+,wait list categories

Binoy | Hi binoy,
Since your application is not shortlisted, none of the status' mentionned by you holds. However, this rejection does not speak of your abilities. Best of luck for your future endeavours.

Hi all wannabe Glakers, Here is the summary of my GD/PI experience. Venue: Chennai Interview date: 17th Feb First of all be prepared to spend 3-4 hours at the venue. The first 1 hr will be spent on checking documents of all candidates followed by waiting for GD and then interview. Today (17th Feb) there were five panels to interview around 35 candidates. GD: Eve teasing is the topic my batch was given. Don’t worry about chaos and being heard. It is the most peaceful GD I have witnessed. Moderators make it clear that it is a discussion and not a debate. Everyone was heard. Interview: The interviews were happening simultaneously. The feedback I got while I was waiting for my turn was scary. People came into the waiting room sweating, fretting and fuming. Almost all of them had 30 mins interview with few having 40-50 mins. It seems people were put under lot of stress. The panel usually has 4 domain experts plus a current student observer. But, my interview turned out to be very cordial. I felt I controlled the interview. Questions revolved around my work and the essays. It lasted for 20 mins. My two cents: 1) Be thorough with your application data especially the essays 2) People with substantial work ex will be grilled on their work domain 3) People with 1 year or less experience will be grilled on their academics 4) Maintain your cool even if you are put under stress. Do not talk more than enough in such situations as it will lead to further questions J Hope this info helps. Thanks, Umashankar | | | | | | | |
