Life @ BIMTECH - 13-12-2005, 11:21 PM

Hi All,

I am a second year student from Birla Institute of Management Technology. The campus is at Greater Noida spread over 7.5 acres, fully residential, wi fi enabled.

Day starts at 8 AM with breafast in the mess, then we gear up for classes which start at 8:45 AM. and stretches up to 12:30 pm, after that we have lunch from 12:30 to 1:30.
Then classes up to 5 PM

Well enough of boring stuff i guess!
Life in the hostel is nothing less than a bliss! and especially when u r a senior, loads of fun is guranteed:whatthat: .
We have sports in the evening which refreshes us from tiring classes. the kind of association one creates with each ther in a residential environment is impeccable, U live like a close knit family sharing each others joy and sorrows and not to mention assignments too .
the campus is a bit away from town so it is a bit of bother but then when u huyave everything inside the campus ranging from "tuck shop" i.e our "wal mart" to cafeteria i.e our "Mc Donalds", u hardly regret goin out. However, we don spare our free days and do visit closest market i.e Sector 18 Noida, Centre stage Mall.

first year was tough, while the second year is relatively easy with maximum time devoted on placement activities.

so that is all guys, i leave the floor open for any queries and comments which are most welcome.

Keep Rocking!

Re: Life @ BIMTECH - 16-12-2005, 04:08 PM

Hi Guys…
i'm Hansveen...yet another student from Birla Institute of Management Tehnology....BIMTECH as they call it..I'm Ramit's batchmate....believe me the campus is amazing (doesn't look less than a resort)...i'm a 2nd year student here...
what do students look for before joining a b-school?? i think one thing which plays a very important role in making this decision is the placements scene of the college..............well, the magazine 'outlook' has ranked BIMTECH as the 12th best B-school...the college has a 100% placement record...the major recruiters inculde Kotak,Panataloons,LG,Godrej,ICICI Lombard, ICICI Prudential, naukri.com,HCL....the list goes on......the faculty is also learned and come from diff B-schools all over the country...guest faculties from industry also take lectures....the ambience of the college is very conducive to management studies...the course module consists of classroom teaching, workshops, presentations etc..well, all work and no play makes 'me' a dull girl...hr r a lot of off-academic activities....the institute has a tie up with SPIC - MACAY...for which cultural function and madhubani paintings workshop is held every year...since its a residential campus, all festivals r celebrated wid equal fervour....small things r given good importance here..just like at home, birthdays r celebrated...this place is now like a second home to us...the facilities provided take care of everything...fully air-conditioned campus (classrooms and hostel rooms), TVs and fridges in each apartment...separate rooms....wi-fi campus...24 hrs internet connectivity....all tht i've mentioned is just so less.....u cannot cum to knw unless u cum here.................................

u must be wondering as to y am i telling u all this ....this is because i hardly have 2 months more to spend in this campus...and i'm surely gonna miss it...so i just want to tell all u guys out thr..how nice it's been to be here...living wid ppl from diverse backgrounds...growing as an individual...i've learnt so much here...and i'll alwaz be indebted to this college for giving a boost to my personality.......

well..this isn’t my last post…will keep u updated wid the latest happenings in the campus….keep rocking….

Do u have it in u!! - 18-12-2005, 03:33 PM

Hi,

Life at a B School is no less than a roller coaster ride. U see ups and downs as u go along and experience one of the most amazing journey of ur life.

To add a little spice in the journey, BIMTECH proudly presents "PRATIBHA" the annual fest featuring cultural and academic events.

The annual mega event gives an opportunity for first year students to showcase their talent in cultural programs like Ad Mad Show, Dance, Singing, etc., it also provides all those brainy chaps to slog it out at Debates, Paper Presentation, Quiz etc.
and not to forget, second year students dont give up that easily as it is the last chance for us to give a final shot at so called "last" event as a students.

But things dont die down in BIMTECH that easy, Christmas and new year approaching, we can expect fireworks in coming few weeks

For latest happenings and news about BIMTECH, watch out for this space.

ciao

Ramit

PS: Hi zoobie, how u doin?, keep posting and we would love to have other alumni posting as well!

Hi everybody,
Ii hope the whole BIMTECH is gearing itself for the much awaited PRATIBHA- 05 (The Gala Cultural Fest), it will be a good warm up before the Christmas and New Year. As Music and Masti is round the corner, everybody should be pulling up their socks to give their best shot in the event. I would specially request the 2nd year students, who will sadly will be having their last Fest of their BIMTECH life.
Even i am very excited for the event..............

So lets "ROCK THE PARTY"
