RULES
A Team can consist of a maximum of three persons
The team should include at least one full-time enrolled student of in a post graduate Business programme in an Indian educational institution. No person can be a part of more than one team
One team can submit only one entry
There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute
The decision of judges will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
KVCF/IIMK is under no obligation whatsoever to fund any of the business plans
No agreements of any sort will be signed with the participants
Registration for the event implies acceptance of the rules and regulations.
Stage 1- Registration and Submission of Executive Summary
An executive summary of the Plan should be submitted latest by 2359 Hrs on 25th November 2005.
The executive summary can be of maximum two pages (size A4) excluding the cover page. It should be in "Times new Roman" font, minimum size 10, 1" margin on all four sides, Single line spacing (not including the cover page)
The cover page should clearly mention the Team registration number (or ID), Team Name, the names of the members with the email ID and phone number of the Team leader
Stage 2- Submission of Business Plan
A maximum of 40 teams will be selected for the second stage of the contest.
The results of the First Stage will be declared on the above-mentioned website on 5th
December 2005
Last date of Final business plan submission for second stage: 2359 Hrs on 25th
December 2005
The business plan should not exceed 25 pages excluding appendix and cover page. It should have the following specification: "Times New Roman" font, Size 12, 1.5 Line spacing, 1" margins on all sides.
Stage 3- Presentations
On the basis of the submitted Business Plans, ten teams will be selected for presentation
The result of the second stage will be published on the website on 5th January 2006 Final Presentations of the Business plan will be held on 21-22 January 2006 at IIMK campus
The presentation for each team will comprise the following:
Elevator Pitch
Details presentation for a maximum of 15 minutes followed by Q&A session of
maximum 10 minutes
A 5-Minute Closure after the end of Q&A session
The teams will be provided accommodation and two way railway 2nd sleeper fare from the station nearest to the location of the residence of the team members to Kozhikode

FAQ
Q: Who are eligible to participate in the business plan contest?
A: At least one member of the team should be a full-time enrolled student of a post graduate business programme in an educational institution. Members in any start up which has been registered as a company on or after 1 January, 2005 can also apply, provided their team fulfils the above criteria.
Q: How do I submit my executive summary and business plan?
A: Both the executive summary and the Business plan have to be submitted as per the timeline. These documents should be E-mailed to ecell@iimk.ac.in. The subject line of the email should be as follows: Team ID_Name of team_Name of the Institute.
Q: What should be the composition of the team?
A: A maximum of three persons can form a team of which at least one student must be a fulltime enrolled student of a post graduate business programme in an Indian educational
institution. No individual can be part of more than one team. In the event of this digression, both the teams would be disqualified.
Q: How many plans can a team submit?
A: A team can submit only one plan.
Q: Can the team be changed at a later stage?
A: Once the team is registered, the composition of the team can not be changed.
Q: Could I form a team with people from different batches, as in one from first year and the other from 2nd year?
A: Yes, the team can have people from different batches.
Q: Can more than one team participate from the same university/School?
A: Yes, there can be more than one participating team from the same university/School.
Q: My degree is not at all business related, but I am very interested in the business case competition, can I participate?
A: Yes, you can, as long as your team meets the eligibility criteria.
: My MBA Program finishes at the end of April 2006. Can I still participate?
A: Yes. In order to be eligible to participate, your team should have at least one full-time enrolled student of in a post graduate business programme in an Indian educational institution when you register, that is at least one member should still be officially affiliated to the institution.
Q: How long does the Contest last?
A: The Contest starts on November 1, 2005 and the finals will be held on January 21-22, 2006.
