Hai Everybody ,

Looking at various threads for other institutes impulsed me to start a thread about SIOM and the activities taking place here . After a 5 month of rigorous schedules and the atmosphere , now I hope I can write something about this college and students lifestyle . I hope this thread will be helpfull for all the candidates who have Symbiosis in their list of applying this year.

I welcome all my friends at SIOM who are also part of PG to pour in your comments and views about our college.

Hurray ! hai friends meeting you after a long time@PG

Was in the Placement Drive , send to Chennai to invite the companies for palcement week. I wish to share some of the information from my side about the activities taking place in our isntitute such as CONVERGE - a conference on " Challenges in implementing Japanese techniques in Indian Environment" on 6th Jan 2006.

Previously a couple of days back our institute organised a Survey in Nasik to understand the "Youth's Behaviour in purchasing the products" . A major survey of the year , one of its kind in Nasik which was conducted by the Students. about 2000 samples were collected in the event organised for 2 days.

Apart from this a Executive Diploma in Management for the working professionals in Nasik is to be started next year on 6 th Jan 2006.

So we are packed with our schedules next year starting with Fun & Functions through out the year.

we also call our institute as SIOM (pronounce it as "seeom"). I am a student of Sinhgad Institute of Management. Our institute is a growing one and they conduct a lot of small programmes to make the students more competent.
pls feel free to ask anything abt our institute.

i m a production engr ,now a lecturer in an engg college ,have teaching experience of more than 2 years.
will it be helpful
please throw some light on that
how is the inst and what r the future prospects and what r the selections weightage.

i am a production engineer with 2 yrs of work-ex , am interested in SIOM, would like to know about their GD and interview process,their expectations, DO u think this college would also become as popular as SCMHRD,SIIB and SIBM in the coming yrs

Hi Radhe,
Radhe here. Nice to see a person with the same name. First of all let me tell you that this is a b-school dedicated to operations management and engineering degree is a pre requisite for the course. Your experience as a lecturer will definitely give you an edge bcoz engineering colleges are also organisations as other business org. details of admission procedure r given in brochure and website. Go through it.We just returned from our placement drive and demand for operations manager is huge.The reason is that there r hardly any b-schools in India which focus on operations as their core competence. Work experience and interest in the field of operations are the major criteria for selection .
