Good to see a gr8 deal of interest in International Business......well Vivek has answered your question pretty well & yes we do have the Best facullty for AMR in the country.....no doubt about that.......the USP of the institute is that many subjects in 1st sem deal with domestic business but a few such as Export Management & International Trade deal with Foreign Trade but that's just the beginning......in the 2nd Sem we have subjects such as International Finance which has Forex Risk management, fundas about interest rate swaps, etc. We have International Law, Overseas Research as already mentioned.....So we deal with Exports, Imports, International Logistics & then move on to finer aspects of international business with Core modules on International Marketing, Research, Intl. Finance, Law.....so u get knowledge of Domestic & International Business which broadens the student profile as far placemnents are concerned.......also saw some concern about placements......on that.....your placements are as good as you make them known.......some of our peer institutes advertise their placement figures......we believe in advertising our core modules which are our USP.....that is what matters.....because companies recruit on the basis of what you know (your core modules) & not what you show (placement figures in your ads).....the figures as on the website are....a highest salary of Rs.17 lakhs p.a for international placements and Rs. 13.1 lakhs p.a for domestic placements with an average of Rs. 4.8 Lakhs p.a. (domestic) for 2005 batch.......so happy B-School hunting........CU at SIIB.......

ok guys as all of us have been observing since the past few days the defamation going on about our college in some of the other threads by some of the competing institutes....this is a very easy and low bro technique used by the competing colleges...we all have the capacity to retaliate aggressively but as our principles of the college goes..aggression is not always the best method...
so m requesting all the PG members not to go by such rumours...things presented as facts without any basis....any doubts or misleadings caused by these posts can be clarified here.....

Question Re: life@SIIB - 30-11-2005, 10:50 AM

Hi misha,

Can you tell me about the typical job profile of MBA with IB...in IT industry?
What is the role of IB in IT and Service industry (in this global village)?

give some gyaan.....on IB.....i am curious to apply to SIIB.

How is the industry-institute-interface of SIIB?

Thanks in Advance.
