life @ Sydenham - 07-10-2005, 05:53 PM

Hmmm ....
a lot of ppl r pouring info @ their b-skools, i think its time for our college !!
surprised after not seeing this thread as a lot of PG junta in our college.
finally , i m starting !!!!!!!!

Basic info :
sydenham is owned & run by govt of maharashtra
2 courses : PGDBM (separate entrance ) & MMS ( CET - maharahtra)
USP : mumbai ,
gr8 commerce college ( alumni like Kumar Birla, Dr Ambedkar, Hritik Roshan),
industry interaction ( all r visiting faculty)
crisis management ( govt college)
last but not least -----> GR8 placements:razz:

Life :
a typical life as any other mumbaiya
dont boost residential programme - sm mumbai ppl r staying at home others coming from outside mumbai - hostel is available
today its enough ( hv guest lecture so hv 2 go )
will pour on as & when time permits

nice post chetan,

yup its nice to be here in this place . the college is good , nice student interaction, yup only drawback is govt college , so lack of funds but then the placements are terrific and its like a soothing balm. well man i think this thread will move only on our shoulders coz i dont see many of our pgites posting in this thread . keeping all of this aside i can say that this is one of the best places and i am having a nice experience here man . lets rock sydenham..... lifes a roller coster here.

UH.......
yesterday finnished one more presentation !!!
( one more for tomorrow - but prepaerd well so no prob)
had impression that due to semester pattern , life will be cool
but it's not!!!
getting screwed at every time!!
can't open the books dont know what the profs r teaching, fr which book on the earth.
campus is heating up for summers
not started yet but will start fr next wk
sm of the Biggies r playing safe by applying to all cos which r coming down to campus
hv corporate meet on 22 Oct in Taj
so whole day will be busy

today came to know - only 3 days holiday for DIWALI !!!!!
after diwali, loads of mid-term exams
class projects
also wanted to 'fill' CV - so sm extra-circular ( as they call it)
where is time ??????

again seniors say - hv 2 read atleast ( ? ) 5 newspapers- daily, 10 magazines & 1 book per wk :x

hv 2 manage smhow !!!!

Hey Guys,
M also a PG student @ Sydenham batch of 2007.......Well m finally gettin some time off in diwali and hence m writin on the thread, i concur with both chetan n rahine, last week was hectic, an average day for us on the campus is lez say frm 9 am to almost 8 pm. More often than not, there is a large time interval between lectures, but somethng jus keeps coming on....like projects, presentations bla bla bla..... Have to submit 2 important projects one each on cost a/c and mrktg mngmt by Nov end, prepare for some tests and finally for Sem 1 on 19th Dec. :2gunfire:
But its cool coz i get good lessons in time mngmt
Thnx to Sydenham.
Reg,
Rohan.
