So finally the Pre-joining meet happened today at Candies, Bandra.
I was not expecting many to come but the turnout was awesome.Around 50-60 of us had turned up...
I guess only the outside mumbai people were not present whereas all of them who were in Mumbai had come.
The seniors came in and we had introductions happenning all over the place.
There were many small groups which had formed and all of us were busy chatting with each other , getting to know each other better.
Then the seniors told us to play a small intro game wherein we were divided into groups of 5(4 boys and 1 girl in each group). The group members were supposed to know each other very well i.e. profiles,interests, etc.
Then each group was given a chance to give an intro wherein the girl member had to introduce herself as well as the other four boy members in the group.
But the best part was, each one of us had to mention one unique thing that we have done in our life...But, there was a catch!!!
It should be totally unique.Even if one person other than the one speaking had done that thing, then the speaker had to think of something else.
There were really unique and never heard before events that people narrated...some were hilarious, some were brave, some even unbelievable..
But all of us had fun and more importantly it was an ice breaker for all the new joinees as we got to know each other better and we also got to know the seniors too.
Then we had a doubt session where we were asked to throw in our doubts.And boy, did we come up with a lot of doubts....but the seniors were helpful and solved most of the doubts satisfactorily and reserved some of the doubts to be solved during the induction programme(which was valid on their part as no point in disclosing everything in advance, there shud be some suspense element,yaar).

In the end, I would like to thank the seniors for arranging this meet as it was really fruitful.
Now, we are bracing ourselves for the assignments which wud be coming our way in the coming week....Lets see...

Would just like to reiterate that it was wonderful interactin with n getting to know ev1 right from batchmates to seniors ...
especially loved the innovative n mind-stimulating game of introducing each other.. it was great fun n also helpful in remembering names of fellow classmates

WHEw .. College hasnt even started yet ... its still 2 weeks away .. n seniors already have us juniors busy with loadds of assignments
assignments back to back that too with strict deadlines for submission ...
and i was thinking of reasting for a feww days before college started !!!
neways have been working on the 2nd assignment on marketing ... gota get it done soon to meet the deadline n then turn my attention to the 1st one ..
Now this is what is called acaddemic rigour , thanx to our seniors !!
but its been quite interesting and im sure helpful in the future ..l.reading up n completing them ..

Yeah....I can already feel the pressure now...
College to start on 8th August and we have been bombarded with three assignments. The first assignment is to be submitted on the 8th August...ya..ya..plenty of time for that.
But the other two assignments...Marketing and HR...Marketing to be submitted on Thursday i.e. tomo at 10 pm and the other HR has to be submitted the next day i.e. Friday at 10 pm.
Have spent the entire day today on the Marketing assignment.Didn't start off too well but kind of enjoying it now. Hope to complete it by tomorrow evening somehow and submit it.
Then would be starting off with the HR assignment.
Don't want to create a bad image by not submitting the very first lot of assignments on time...Hope I "manage" it!!!!
All the best to all Sydenhamites who are in the same position as I am in.

Finally !!! done with the mktg assignment ... now i need a break !! already !!
but wait .. 2 more assignment r waiting to be at least thrown a glance and given a thought to ....
Same here.. me too been at the marketing assn like for hours n hours with no classes n no idea bout the marketing terms .. but enjoyed it ..
n now its HR .. n then a study report...
is this ever gona end ?? guess this just the beginning ..
if this is th situation now .. duno how am gona manage when college begins !!

Finally finished with the Marketing assignment today morning and submitted it...
Was pretty happy submitting my first assignment of SIMSREE.
Felt kind of a relief as also a sense of satisfaction.
Now the next task at hand is the HR assignment to be submitted on Saturday by 10 pm( I have mentioned it incorrectly as Friday in my previous post, the error is regretted).
Have plenty of time for that, but have to start the first assignment also side by side...so, currently racking my brains for the topic for the first assignment.
Will update on the proceedings as when there is some action.

Finished with the HR assignment and guess what....we have one more assignment....the finance and economics assignment which is to be submitted on the 3rd August i.e. coming Monday.
It has become a habit now....I am sure by tomorrow there would one more assignment waiting for us....
But, ya, i must agree, the seniors are doing a good job by giving us assignments from different fields and preparing us for the real battle which would begin once the classes start.
Also, seniors, despite their hectic schedule are taking out time to give us assignments as well as answer all our queries regarding the assignments on the orkut community.I guess we will have to do the same next year for our juniors.

done with marketing n HR ...
now struggling with the Finance assignemnt n grappling with unheard words n terms that sound like less of english n more of greek/latin !!!
Neways expectin to complete that by 2mrw .. have to .. theres no optin with the deadline being tomorrow nite !!
n then would work on an excel assignment ...
this is never ending man ..
But good vr getting a trailor of hows life gone be like once cllege starts on 8th ..
n really appreciate the seniors who have actually taken out the time to go thru our assignemnts n check them...despite their busy schedules..n theyr gona give feedbackkk..
so as of now ... waiting eagerly for the feedback ...n carrying on with this Finance one...

What I should say about my college!!

its , beyond the words!!

the institute is just perfect in its all sort.
our seniors are , just what we wanted , they take us left and rite but they love us like anything.... in every point they want us to be Champions
and I pray to god evry institute shd get this kind of seniors ( including some higher ranked institutes than SIMSREE)

and about asssignments .....we are enjoing it ( though they are blood sucking) there is a diffrent effect of this assignments ... though the college has yet not started we have got feel like we aare assosiated with college from years.. its amazing ,,...
And we take oath today that we ..2009-2011 batch along with our seniors will take SIMSREE so high that it will be aspire by each and evry student in this country....

Whew...What a relief!!!!....done with the finance assignment finally after lot of struggling....
this one was tough as compared to the first two....
Anyways, can't relax now as there are still assignments left and dunno how many more to come....
Next stop: the excel assignment.....hope to finish it by tomo and concentrate on the first assignment(which I had long forgotten as other assignments started flowing in).
