A Big Hello to ALL,

This is VIKRANT here -proud SYDENHAMITE from 2008-2010 batch.

It's just been 2-3 days at college , but it feels like I have lived a lifetime in those 2 days !!Every Moment in INDUCTION PROCESS was simply rocking and memorable. It gave us the perspective as to what's in store for us in Next 2 yrs as well as assurance tht this is where we want to be fr 2 precious years of our life !!Entire Induction Process -frm start to finish was entirely handled by 2nd yr Students -right from planning,Scheduling the events, preparing the Basic Study Material ,conducting Tests, presentations, giving asssignments ,organising so many fun filled activities ,introducing faculty to new batch et al!!!!!!!!!!This i think is what we mean by "Student driven college"!!The Induction programme for 2008-2010 batch was organised from 28th July to 31st July,08,with regular classes commencing from 4th August !!There was also a pre-Induction exercise given to new batch in form of assignments and reading 100 odd page study material on which test was conducted during Induction !!!Induction started with Director's Message ,Proud alumni of Institute ,likes of Mr.Mahesh Balasubramian and Mr. Ashish Pawaskar sharing their valuable insights, and their experiences. Then it was taken over by students ,who did student committe briefings,Faculty Introduction ,They Organised so many fun filled events right from Business Quiz ,presentations ,innovative Introductory sessions and best of them all -ICE BREAKING SESSIONS.

We are all geared up for 4th August !!With new vigour and enthusiasm ,120 lions of 2008-2010 batch hope to take bastion even further and launch SIMSREE into stratosphere of Best Business school's in India .

With Warm Regard's,
PROUD SYDENHAMITE.

Re: life @ Sydenham - 02-08-2008, 11:20 PM

As Beautifully explained by my friend the starting days of our journey@SIMSREE, i would also like to come up with few remarkable things :

1)The 1st thing I noticed very carefully on day-1 itself is the Confidence and Dedication in Eyes of our "Director Sir M.A. KHAN" which boosted up spirit in our souls too.No doubt he is the one among those who have put in their Heart and Soul in making SIMSREE a Great place to Learn.

2)A well organized Starting, an interesting continuation and a Well planned End to make sure that No one feels "Overloaded".

3)It was great to see Alumni who were once Part of sydenham more than a decade ago and currently working with Good companies at Great Profiles, which made us feel we are not Behind any other good B-school and our decision of becoming a Part of SIMSREE was perfectly right.

4)My favorite "Ice Breaking Session". All i wanna say is you have to experience it to get the real feel, not enough words to describe it.
The beauty of session was,it was decent,Disciplined, everyone enjoyed and at the same time no one felt like "dragged in to it". Rather i should say we all took part in it with all our interest.Never had such a fun in life.

SIMSREE Rocks

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. :grab:
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

Re: life @ Sydenham - 21-07-2009, 11:17 PM

Hello Puys,
Today was my first visit to SIMSREE.I have seen SIMSREE from outside many times but today I got the chance to see it from inside.
I had gone to SIMREE to pay my fees thereby confirming my admission for the PGDM batch of 2009-11.
I guess with that my life @ Sydenham has begun.

I reached the college at 11 a.m. sharp and was the first one to be there.
No one had turned up as yet. Only the seniors were there.
Once the process got going the seniors were very helpful at each and every stage. Throughout the process, I had pestered the seniors with my incessant and unending queries to which they replied quite satisfactorily.
Congrats to the seniors for their brilliant work!!!!

What is next at SIMSREE now for all the new joinees...???
The SIMSREE pre-joining meet which has been scheduled for the coming Sunday i.e. 26th July at Bandra in Mumbai.
I am really looking for it as it is a great platform for the new students to know each other as well as the seniors.

I urge all my batchmates to attend the meet as it will break the ice before we actually start our classroom sessions.

See you all soon....Cheers!!!!!!

Mah first day @ SIMSREE to confirm my admission ..
Must say i was impressed by the change in infrastructure .. evthins been renovated after last year .. done up with Air conditioned classrooms n all... that was a treat and a relief !!
The admission process was extrememly well organised with senors constantyly guiding us through out the process... n proper directions posted evrywhere indicating all stages right from stage one to stage 5...Even in the seminar hall points of contact 1,2 n 3 were indicated with signs put up .. awesome work by the seniors .. hats off to them we had a smooth admission procedure ...
Evthing was taken care of right from admission to giving out material to read...twas a great feeling knowing i am OFFICIALLY IN now

Me too looking forward to a good interaction @ the pre-joining meet organised by seniors on 26th July ...meet up with my batchmates...

Ciao n tc ..
