Guys With all the nice things being said about SPJCM I have not so nice things to add to the thread...
First with lot of confusion (courtsey seniors SPJCM) I met a visiting faculty of spjcm originally from SPJ,Mumbai (through contacts of course)
And yes he cleared a lot of doubts in my mind...think it will be valuable to give info. here
He told though GMBA is pretty exiting and adventurous with foreign tag it has no reputation whatsoever of a premier B-School in Dubai till now...and placements are just the reflection of that...but surely its understandable even IIM'S didn't shot to fame in couple of years
So atleast 5-7 years more when recruited material proves that they are fit for top slot and not half baked in one year course
If you have family business then go for it otherwise you are in process of building a reputation so don't expect wonders to your career
Don't even think of returning India at least for 5-7 years and moreover high living cost of Dubai/singapore will be a worry..... so a vicious cycle on both sides
And When i asked him what if i get a choice bw fore and spjcm he straight away choose fore on all fronts placement ,economical fee, reputation
Though LBS and SPJCM has tough competiton for choice
Course fee including all expenses comes to 15 Lacs....too much for SPJCM at least
And moreover the recognition of GMBA is a question mark in itself
So don't go by marketing tricks
He also confirmed due to backing out of 24 students after paying initial deposit batch was not completely filled and was of size 126 instaed of 150 and this year its expectee to be same story they themselves know 300 will not be in spjcm at any cost
Even the delay in putting up list is something due to this as they don't want any rejects and not even want others to know that the accept everybody...so decide wisely even if u paid initial deposit
Just think logically !!!
