Hi Venky,

I am hugely interested in SPJ singapore. I am commerce grad currently working with ICICI PRU. I am working in ICICI pru from last one year and befor that i used to work for a private limited chemical concern. Plz tell me how much work exp is required for SPJ Singapore. Also are they going to consider GMAT apart from CAT.

Plz tell me when can i expect SPJ singapore's advertisement and process of applying.

Regards

Ashish

Hi Ashish,
The SPJ Singapore advertisement should hit sometime soon since we have finished working on it. Workex is not a critical factor for admission to singapore as far as I know, so you need not worry on tht. CAT is valid and most probably GMAT will be valid too. Just hang on for a little while..we will get back with full details on Singapore.

Hi Vickzz,
If you are not giving CAT then you will need to give SPJ's aptitude test or GMAT. That is a a must. Admissions to SPJ are just like any other indian B school so you will need to prepare for it just as you would prepare for the others. Your work ex in Air Sahara should help you sail thru for Hospitality Mgmt.

Amit I cant say that I have understood ur ques completely but I think you want to know whether CAT is a criterion or not. I assume that the standardized test scores that will be accepted are CAT, GMAT or u can given SPJ's own admission test. Yes, there will be a minimum cut off as they are looking for individuals with a minimum amount of intellectual ability as it shows whether they will be able to survive here.... because let me warn u ... ppl think that wen u come here u willl enjoy and have fun here in Dubai. It is wrong because they are going to teach u what ppl learn over 24 months in just 12 months and they are serious abt it and u need to survive here ....

well i dont know what the cut off this year would be .. but the last yrs cat cutoff was 80%le.... but that doesnt mean that people come here with only sub 90 cat scores .... yours truly had 93.99 %le Kanishka had 99 %le, dunno abt others but majority have good cat scores or they had good scores in the spjcm test. Let me tell u .. SPJCM will NOT compromise on quality .... they r lookin for best fits n their selection policies are just as strict if not more ......
