Hi John,
Thnx for the input.
I had opted for templeton and st Johns.

In terms of sporting activities which one would be a better choice.. i have started to look at colleges in detail now.. but ur inputs wud be more reliable than my research. ( the fact that i choose templeton)

looking fwd to hear some more happenings at Oxford from you.

Cheers
D

Hi Samarth

Your school list does not contain many top ranked schools yaar....
Oxford, Cambridge, Cranfield....
Do look out for these schools as well.
In case you dont mind doing a one year MBA prog from Spain.. check out www.ie.edu
IE is in the UK govts list of 50 schools that get a work permit for 1 yr in the UK. so u can always move to the UK after u complete ur school...

I suggest, have your future career line finalized..before u get into Bschool.. each school has renowned faculty in a particular sector.. so that can help u choose the right univ..

Ur GMAT looks good, for ur work exp.. u can always make up for it with the application essays, they give you a lot of scope to explain what you have done in ur professional life..

Go ahead and apply my friend..
u never know whats in store for you ?

Cheers

Hi Neo,
1) Well there is still ample time for 2006. Only thing is that it would be difficult for you to get any scholarships as you would be aplying in the later rounds.
2)As for the 1 year course you should keep the average expense at around 35000 pounds.
3) With 2 years it would be a bit difficult in a few colleges but you might be able to get in some other, easiest way is to check the 20-80 range of the work experience and if your work experience is bnot in the range save some application money. ont thing to remeber is to think of how much work experience you will have when U start the corurse in October, not today.
4) I would not suggest anyone with your level of work experience to return back to India and do a job search. The Indian companies will never give it a good consideration. You have to target to get a job in campus(posted in any country) or in the UK and then with that job in hand you can negotiate for a job in India.

hey guys.
ofwhat i know about the uk (might be wrong but still) is that finding a job after graduating aint a walk in the park. especially after graduating from a b grade school.

my advice formba applicants:

try utilising some scheme.
1. try for scotland (2yr work permit after any post grad)
2. try for schools listen by the uk govt which give a 1 yr work permit after grad. around 50 schools around the world are a part of that list.
3. get atleast 4 to 5 yr work ex before u come here. minimum for most schools is 3 yrs but average goes upto 7! more the experience, better the candidate u are for mba.

my advice for MSc applicants:

1. come if u dont have work ex, or if u want an extremely specialised course.
2. apply only to the TOP schools (check RAE and TQA ratings for individual courses)
3. dont get troubled by what chopra consultants or study overseas ppl say. take their help but do ur own research. then go to them.

do write back with queries and comments.
