Anyone for NUS Singapore?

Hi, I too am waitlisted at NUS for a long time now (since Feb). I tried calling up NUS in vain. No one seems to be picking up the phone for the last 20 days. Any clue on when the results will be out ? Am waiting only for NUS and have got rejects from others like Nanyang. So keeping my fingers crossed.

heyy...iam not so sure its a bad thing you didn't get thru the phone...I managed to..yesterday and all i got was that the results will be out by end of June...the waits getting more and more difficult...dont wanna make any guesses abt when they will be out cos I end up being beaten everytime!

Can you give me the number you tried? If the results are out end of june, do you have an idea of whether it will be possible to complete all formalities like visa n all in one month?

I am wondering what the time period will be for the offers to be accepted cos they normally give you two weeks and all the loan processing and visas should take atleast another 2-3 weeks...some mystery this stuff is! Didn't ask about it though....maybe u shld and let us know what they say

I m a perspective student at NUS. I shall put application for the fall 2009 intake at NUS. I wanted some advice about my profile and my chance of getting in NUS.

My profile is:
GMAT: 680
Work exp: Banking industry under the function: Fraud and Risk Management.(3yrs)..which includes...interaction with police and getting the fraudsters arrested.
Post Garduate Diploma in Statistics---Result awaited
Diploma in Banking Operation
Engineer( Biotech---7.35 CGPA)
10th and 12th----80% and 72% repec...

Extra curi cular----- Played soccer and badminton at state level.
Played all other games at school and college level...
Active Volunter of Friends2support( Blood Supply NGO)
Represented the Cricket as well badminton team form my school and colleges

Projects---while in college did several research papers in Agricultural Biotechnology.


Please advice, Do i stand a fair chance?
Also advice me which colleges should i apply.

I was interviewed by NUS last week on 19th, today I called and was informed that final result will be out by 30th June.

By looking at other people's experience of getting rejection now I feel worried. I was confident after getting shortlist e-mail but it seems that many people get rejected even after short list...

hmm... let's see.. only less than a week more to go

5 years of international business development experience with MNC
Univeristy of illinois computer engineering degree
currently working in singapore as BDM (business dev manager)
gmat of 530, awa 5, verbal 25, math 37
applied for part-time mba

well alpha the competition is only for the full time mba program. The part time should be a cake walk. You see because only those residing in Singapore are eligible to apply. If at all you dont get thru it would only be because the seats may be full. also I think you might be a bit late in applying.

All the guys on this thread who sweated it out and got rejected are all those who had applied for the full time program.

BTW i noticed your GMAT score is below 600. That could also be a determining factor. definitely for the full time program it is, but not sure what are their benchmarks for the part time program
