Tushar,

i understand your frustration, but can you please briefly elaborate what's the S3 MBA? i'm looking at NUS too for their 2009-July intake. Would be obliged if you could help me learn my lessons earlier...

Hi Buddy,

the s3 mba is about doing ur mba from 3 places-singapore, seoul and shanghai.

Pros - intl exp, asia exposure, networking
cons - not sure of reputation, cost is higher and i guess fooding-lodging issues .

May be by next yr u'll hv a better picture of its acceptability in the industry.

I hope that helps u in ur decision!

Cheers

Tushar

So guys, any update on the status of the waitlisted candidates yet? I had dropped them a mail but no response. I guess they are really tied up with the final phase of admissions.

I just somehow never expected that even after saying end of May they'd postpone to June...Richard's email was disappointing anyway...iam just back from a vacation and I've decided not to think about this too much....June end is still far away..

I feel they have filled up seats on regular MBA and are just trying to push people to other courses that are vacant.

Re: Anyone for NUS Singapore? - 01-06-2008, 02:47 PM

June 30th is an unrealistic deadline for Indian candidates. I think its more for the locals there for whom applications were open right upto May 31st. As for us Indians I think our fate is pretty much sealed by the 1st week of June.

I've been on the admissions trail since Nov 2007, and am really exhausted now after such a long wait. In my case I committed the mistake of putting all my eggs in one basket. Actually I had a ver good chance with NTU, jsut that I completely messed up in the interview. Anyways I think its time to plan ahead now and look at the next academic year.

So April2007, Megha, Tushar, what have you guys decided. do you guys have any back up plans or its straight next academic year in case nuttin comes out of NUS?

From my side, I have already moved on. I was waiting for NUS and could wait only till may end. Now that nothing has come till now, I am ON for the next academic session and for new opportunities at work - Either going to US or Singapore for job in better profile than now.

That deduces that even if I get an admit, I will try to defer it or reject it rather than join this year.
