Exclamation Shud i go for UK or AUSTRALIA........ Totally confused here - 08-03-2005, 01:15 PM

Hi friends........

I am goin thro a big dilema here. I hav got options to go to UK as well as AUSTRALIA to do my MBA. Now i am not able to make a decision. I hear tat Australian MBA is not worth doin if u dont get a PR. And in UK the job scope is very less after an MBA. Now i will be goin to UK or AUS by takin a big loan. so i dont want repent later on abt the decision tat i take............. Could anyone plz help me out. How gud is it doin an MBA frm UK or AUS and wat r the scopes of those MBA internationally as well as in india.......

I would really like a discussion on the pros and cons on this topic ...

I thought that this was supposed to be "researched" before you apply to any b-skool..... you seem to have inverted the whole process....(and I am wondering as to how the b-skools admitted a person who even do not know the pros and cons beforehand).....

jerryjames I dont think you will get any kind of discussion here..... (Even I initally thought of ignoring this post...)

BTW can you post the name of the schools where you got admission.....

Well are u having 3 year degree??

MBA is not good for PR.

UK only 7 schools in UK are worth doing an MBA.

if Work permit is your goal after course then go to SCOTLAND EBS is better .

there u will get 2 year work permit after course .

IF australia is in your mind Do MPA course. its garantees PR

send Cheque/DD if u like the information which i m making since last 6 monthssssss(no monie just jokin).

Wink Job Scope After Mba in Uk - 10-03-2005, 01:23 AM

Hi there,

Job scope after Mba in Uk is good (provided u do it from a top school). I do not see any reason u not getting a good job after u do ur degree.

I came here (I mean to Uk) to do my PG and I got a job whilst I was doing it and a work permit. The unemployment rate in UK is the lowest since counting began.

I will recommend UK --- go for it mate. My frnd did his Mba and he also got a job.

WIll be getting a ILR in 2yrs now and then can think of further studies whereever possible.#

cheers

This is a really weird thread which makes Zero sense to me.

Dude...Research your options BEFORE applying...unless you're Bill Gates' son who can afford to throw around money in applying to 100 univs and THEN think abt what to take up.....!!

ANd by the way, Job Prospects in the UK are amazing...far better than Those in Australia...a cousin of mine did his MBA from Monash...and now he is in Deutchse Bank London....

I cant understand how are you even evaluating your options....

for a start - go to www.google.com . type in "study in australia" (or any other country for that matter), and press enter. See how many results you get? there's even sites you can put in what course you want to do, your budget, etc and request a list. Once you have an idea of the universities, courses, etc. ask specific questions as to whether people here know more of that place and its prospects - and someone will be there to help u.. if u r expecting other members to do this basic search for u.. high hopes man!!

hi boss

are u seriously planning to do an mba...i doubt it becz if one is planning to do an mba one shudnt even have a single doubt after one has already taken that decision.. so you shud have researched thoroughly before you startd this thread..which obviously seems u did not do. ..

no when u have already thot of a foriegn degree then i would recommend that if u wanna go to australia and study its beeter that u reamin here and prepare for entrances likes of cat,xat,snap,iift.........but again this might be different for different individuals as there might be differnt goals in mind..becz if ur father is bill gates as sum1 in above post said and u are looking for permanent residency then take up australia but not under a believe that u will get a wonderfual placement and will enjoy the rest of life....u may or u may not ened up getting a placement.... and there is nothing like studying in india and getting placed in australia after that and also becz job prospects would also be higher provided u do it from a decent enigh institute.. and u mite even get placed in bank of america. ...as compared to deutche bank..but the fibal call is urs we can just guide you

now abt uk..good again if u have enugh money to shed (but as in ur case u said u will taking a loan i wud recommend studying in india would be a better option then going to study abroad....

here is the Gist of it

just one word describes it all in terms of studies INDIA RULES

no offences to any1..my appologies if i started this post with a bit of vigour but i guess that shud hane been the way it shud have been

cheers
kapil
