Thanx for the info...i'll be graduating soon like in three months time...and the place where i am right now doesnt seem to be very bright career wise...so this option has definitely cought my eye considering my degree is from UK as well.

Here to help - 03-03-2005, 04:58 PM

Hi guys,

See a lot of questions out there from nervous one's about UK:

1) will i get a job and work permit in India ?

2) WHich Uni is good ?

etc etc

Don't worry guys. Now that today I am sitting in this paush UK office of a £5bn utility company, It is a part of my social responsibility to help my brothers.

My profile:

Engineering: Pune university- 2001, 1 yr job

Scholarship for doing MSc in Surrey,

Got placed within 5 months.

2) My friend did his Msc from from Imperial and got placed.

3) My gorgeous friend did her MSc from Manchestor and got placed

So guys relax. and here is the list of universities u must apply to:

1) Surrey (mine)

2) Bath (requires expe -buggers)

3) Manchestor

4) Warwick

5) Aston

6) Imperial

there are some others too but u can clarify from me if u have some doubts.

The one year Msc gives u a added advantage of saving one year. Look at your age . How can u expect to be carrying books and going to uni for 2 full years.
Uk rocks - course ends in 10 months.

(this is my view. some scholars or bookworms might disagree)

cheers and happy course hunting,
ranjit

leeds university (One of the very good ones)
10500 pounds tution fees
8000 punds living cost
it is one of the best options availible in the uk. cambridge oxford etc become way too expensive.
hey can u find out from somewhere the kinda placements such graduates get?
dusht dushyma
does leeds require any prior work ex as their basic requirement????????

Hi Brahma Ji - 23-03-2005, 03:45 PM

Brahma,

Yaa before I start let me clear something. It is MALWAJATT (and not walwajatt --- how irritating to read someone misspelling my pyara idd)

My name is Ranjit. Thxx for telling me that getting a scholarship is not a big deal. I am humbled.

Neways as far as ur finding a job. Filling in the lengthy applications is the only solution and anyone can fill them. If a company doesnt issue visa they tell it directly (like ford, citroen etc)
Besides them there are many more companies. The best thing is to start applying 1 year earlier so that one can be placed before the end of his visa.

Our company was holding interviews yesterdays for the trading department.(background - finance, engineering, IT) Neways thats about it. There is no other matra at the moment.
hope this is of help.
cheers
ranjit
