Nope, didn't send the docs by mail. Only uploaded the transcripts.

I received an interview invite.

Cheers!

i wish this forum was more interactive

Could the PG's who have received interview invites from Tepper share their profiles with us?

@madbubbles and others

I am particularly interested in knowing your key application strategies.

As someone asked earlier, Could someone outline the schools strengths?

Hoping to elicit insightful responses this time

ammin

Ammin, I think Tepper values analytical skills a lot. It has a reputation of being a strong quantitative program and Tepper class has a significant share of students with engineering background. It also values teamwork. My Profile is Engg in Computer Science from VTU, Karnataka (2008 passout), 750 on GMAT, 111 Toefl, very good ECs.

has anyone ever remarked that your list of target schools are very ambitious- for someone with limited years of work experience?

I would say that for Tepper, that is immaterial. In fact during my campus visit, I found that 4 first year students had no work experience at all, and in fact met with one of them personally. With madbubbles' GMAT score, it can be smartly squared off.

But yes, for other schools, I guess its a big disadvantage. But then, i didnt find the list of schools madbubbles is targetting for..so i wont comment on that...

Cheers.

WHAT is on display in this post is a classic, text book example of a confirmational bias

Exceptions dont make the rule.

Tepper Statistics -average years of work experience(4.6 yrs) , and % of student body with work experience(95%)- paint a clear picture.Having limited or no work experience is a clear disadvantage.
I urge you to investigate this further by requesting the admissions staff to provide you with the range, standard deviation , and median years of work experience for admitted students in recent years.

Tepper doesnt explicitly discourage people with limited work experience from applying to make its application pool more competitive. It is common knowledge that, everything else equal, BW rankings are a direct function of acceptance rates ; the more selective the school , the better ranked it is

For you to offer encouragement to fellow PG's based solely on your interactions with a handful of current students is irresponsible to say the least and reveals your inexperience in
a)drawing conclusions from statistics
and
b) applying to b schools

One should never base his/her decisions concerning b school applications on anecdotal evidence .

You undergird your endorsement with the success stories of outliers; But these outliers could have the most extraordinary backgrounds(Chess grandmasters, Olympic gold medal winners, UN peace envoys, offsprings of heads of states , Musicians with record deals).Since the premise is flawed , no reasonable conclusions can be drawn from it.

Madbubbles is a member of the most over represented demographic in the universe of B school applicants. AND SHE IS WORKING IN BANGALORE!!!!
Adcoms often have blogs where they obfuscate their identities and rant about their dislike for the IIM crowd .
