Hi guys,

R2 applicant. Have almost finished my application. Wanted to check with R1 applicants who have got an interview on the following:

a) Is TOEFL etc waived off for those who have done their schooling/ college in english?
b) In the Academic Details section are college details enough or even school should be mentioned?

Would appreciate your feedback.

Tks

My Profile:

Acads - Good
ECs - Very good and diverse
Industry - Luxury retailing in India
Work ex - 4.5 years, 5 by the time I start MBA

Additionally, how does one select the college?

CR123,you select your college based on what's important to you..there are some colleges that offer guranteed accomodation, whilst others dont. There are some that are a little far from said, and others that are quite close by. Depends on what suits you, your budget ,and your needs. Here is a college guide published by said.I have mentioned this on a previous post,so it might be worth while to read through the thread ..search under my posts.
Hope this helps

Does anyone know... - 07-11-2009, 10:19 AM

Does anyone know whether Said starts evaluating applications as soon as it receives them,or does it do them all altogether after the deadline..

Thanks!

They do a cursory check of all your documents and confirm to you that you are in for your opted round. After that it does not matter when they will review your application as you will only get the interview notification on the last day.

well, the toefl thing ,I've read some(many?!) have managed to get a waiver..apparently you email the admissions committee before submitting your application, and request the waiver. You could also send the email ALong with your application..maybe..not sure about that.If I were you,I'd just take the TOEFL and get it over an done with..it solves a lot of problems and saves mucho to and fro emailing..

About academics..It's only for your undergraduate degree upwards..

Thanks again oopsidaisy. Have u finished ur application? I was confused about the college transcripts, is the Ad com looking for each semester marksheets or just the final degree certificate that states d GPA? Also, while there is a provision for References, the document checklist at the end mentions 2 recommendation letters, are these reqd? If yes, where does one upload these?

Transcript will be for each semester but if you don't have one right now you should be okay with uploading mark sheets. Better to confirm from adcom but i have heard about such waivers.

On the online application you have to fill in the recommender email ids and they will be informed to fill up an online form for you. No need to upload any recommendation letter.
