Because we were the first batch hit by the increased fee structure, there was significant amount of delay from SBI in disbursing our loans. Their central units were unaware of the change for a long time. But now all that is sorted out. There is a branch of SBI in the campus itself from where most of us have taken the entire loan and yes it is collateral free but requires a guarantor signature for regular housekeeping, I guess.

As per my understanding, most of the nationalised banks ask for collateral security for loans above INR 7.50 Lacs. Few of them are also reluctant to offer loans to people who are above the age of 35 years.

Can some current students tell us about there experience till date?
There are some student groups run by PGP students. No one can stop you from being a part of those groups or initiating a group on your own. But the course has been designed such that it will leave very little time for you to get involved in such activities. Ofcourse you can also have informal focus groups concentrating on a set of domains, the way we have been doing until now.

Thanks. Would Pearson send directly to IIMC? I am assuming that's where the program code will be useful.

I know it might be slightly novice but in case I don't have the Original copy of scoresheet then I needto get one by paying $ 28 ?

Thanks

Hi RK,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Any restriction on the age? Has anyone above the age of 35 availed the loan facility offered by SBI at IIMC Campus??

Re: IIM Calcutta PGPEX IV : Admission process and beyond - 09-06-2009, 06:11 PM

Dear friends,
I too am a PGPEX applicant and have a query regarding the recommendations section of the application form. Check page 14. The first part is to be filled and signed by applicant and the second part is to be filled by the recommender. On the top it is mentioned that "This form should be returned by the applicant with all other application material". That means that I print and sign the form and get it filed from my referee. (and know the ratings :-) )
Page 15 is for recommender to fill and then seal in an envelope and give it to the applicant.
So my application packet will have the entire application (including the rating sheets from my referees) and two sealed envelopes with their letters of recommendation.
Just wanted to confirm that my understanding is correct.
Thank you

no restriction on age. The current students over 35 years of age did not face any specific problem on that front.
