SPJIMR is going to offer 2 new specializations from the next batch-Finance and marketing apart from existing IM & OM specializations (check website for more details). Seats are also likely to increase from existing 60 to 120.

I forgot to mention that HR specialization is also added from next batch. So now there are 5 specs:

1. OM
2. IM
3. Finance
4. Marketing
5. HR

Even if you cant provide exact figures, can you let us know how easy/difficult is it for students to get placed in Singapore/Dubai?
I understand the situation isnt good now, but I am asking for general trends of the last couple of years.
Just want to be clear what to expect in terms of foreign placements if I apply to this college.
How much help can we expect from the college?

I am having 5+ work ex in petroleum company.....
CAT 2008: 96%tile
10th: 82%
12th: 88%
B.E. (electronics): 68%
extra curricular : hockey player at state level.....

do you consider this profile will fetch any interview call from SP Jain..

further i have got admission in UBS chandigarh for 2 year MBA,

can u suggest whether PGPM at SP jain is worthy than 2 yaer MBA.

Good profile...With 5+ work ex I think 1 yr MBA makes more sense than 2 yr. The level of discussion which takes place in 1 yr MBA class is much more intense than in a 2 yr class. Also you can get specialization in 1 yr and can go back to work within no time. I don't think you would be able to leverage upon your 5 yr work ex in UBS Chandigarh 2 yr program.
Just fyi we have people from HPCL, RIL, GE (Oil & Gas) in our batch.

I have a decent score of 97 percentile in XAT 2008 but have a work-ex of 3 yrs by Aug-09 and have gud academic record... Do I stand any chance..??
