Re: AGSM Jan 2010 - 25-06-2009, 01:27 PM

Hi Guys!

I got admit letter from AGSM. I have a total of 11 yrs work experience. I am an ex Lieutenant Commander from Indian Navy, left services after sustaining an injury during my tenure with marine commando force. Presently, I am heading projects in middle east for Honeywell International. I am a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with Post Graduation in Aeronautical Engineering.

Hopefully, I would be getting my Aus PR in next couple of weeks. I have accepted an offer from an UK business school for Sep 2009, but decided to switch as AGSM + PR appears to be a better option.

Regards

AND YES...THOUGH I DONT HAVE TO SAY THIS...U BEING AN INDIAN WILL GET THE BEST JOB....JUST HANDLE IT WELL...STAY AWAY FROM THE LOOSERS....AND TAKE CARE...STAY IN GROUPS!!

All the best mate!! rise and shine
THanks a ton for all the good wishes. I know the stuff happening in Australia is quite sad but then again AGSM is located in the heart of the city and as long as you dont travel late at night and stay away from certain areas, things should be fine. Infact I had put this question across to the interviewer and he was an Indian too. I was told that as long as we stay on or near the campus, things should be fine. The outskirts of the city could be dangerous.

Appreciate your concern

Has anybody in this forum received a scholarship from AGSM yet? Or any idea about how many scholarships do they give out?
I am also in the process of applying to AGSM for Jan 2010 intake (second round).

Dear Hamxa,
I worked for Intel for 2.5 years and working for a research institute in US now. Undergrad from IIT (GPA 8.72/10) and Masters from Georgia Tech (3.85/4).
Thanks for the reply

Has someone got scholarship from AGSM? I have just completed my application and wanted to get an idea about the amount of scholarship and the chances of getting it. I would really appreciate if anyone can shed more light on this topic.
Thanks
