Funny how ISB works !!!

First year I applied, not shortlisted for interview. The next year, I am waitlisted. And for some strange reason, the third time, not even an interview call.

Can't help laughing. One thing's sure. ISB is not for me.

Man... I'm finding it strange how many people here have been trying for 3 yrs straight. Just curious.. did you apply to any other schools in this time?

Guys...coming here after long!got swamped with work ever since the iv happened..and now that i got a little relaxed last evening..started to get jitters about the whole wait for the iv results..

By the way,one of my friends called up the isb adcom yesterday and he was told that iv's will happen till the 15th..which is also mentioned on the website..and going by isb's tradition of sticking to its dates,keep ur hopes still alive..
ATB to everyone who has the iv's scheduled..
now that im free,i will be more regular with the thread!(looks like i have a lot to catch up on)

nothing much strange in it mate..in fact most ppl (including yours truly) go for multiple years simply becoz we ain't ready to settle for mediocrity ...most such ppl probs had options to go for middle tier schools earlier but rejected such offers (knw a couple of puys arnd as well who belong to this breed) becoz we aim for the very top ones like isb...the fire to excel and be with the very best is so churning that it simply refuses to die down

Well, I haven't. Not because I am dying to study only at ISB, just that I cannot study abroad full-time because of some personal constraints.

Just called up Adcom, yesterday the reply was *ALL* the calls are sent out. Surprisingly now, they said there are some re-applicants whose calls are yet to be sent out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

When will the feedback mails go out from ISB ? Any idea?
I thought i ticked all the right boxes for interview call!!
Really wanna know what went wrong, so that i could improve.

Yes but definitely planning to start some serious work on couple of asian schools.I had posted earlier to ask the boarders if anyone else is venturing on this too..if yes then probably we can move to a new thread instead of spamming on the isb specific one..wht say?

Yea dude.. we should start one so that we can share value adds for other b-school admissions now..

quite a few guyz were asked this q including me.......i dont remem whether i put it in my IV exp on PG though......

In the same boat dude.........the only fear I have is that there is always a limit to the number of times u can try....according to my career plan i really need to do an MBA within the next 2-3 years and the thought of not making it to any of the top colls and prob settling for tier 2 colls after the wait of 1-2 yrs is seriously scary and demoralisin

feedback takes sometime dude........dont expect feedback b4 all the admissions are done i.e R2......so earliest you can expect it is Feb or March 2010.......atleast this was the process last yr.....
