are u people aware of any such puy/candidate who has made to the isb with avg score,as what i see on this thread is just toppers getting selected and toppers getting rejected as well.no one with avg score has reported any positive news.
considering this assumption of mine, will i really have to take the second round at gmat or things can still be controlled fom this side of court?
thts what i ve n been askin.plz do through some more insight at it.

to add to what anupam said, ISB looks at all your achievements in the last 3 years....and your gmat score gives the most recent projection of your analytical skills....i would suggest you to retake gmat and hit 700+ so that you stand a better chance...the good thing is...you still have time...make the best of it...Good Luck doc!

And about 'clarity of thought'....it surely helps you with better essays and better IV....but compensating GMAT??...doesn't connect...GMAT comes under analytical skills category....you might want to put up your 'clarity of thought' as a strength of yours in the essays...

Gmat score do tell a lot about academic strength. Considering one year course, Isb will look for areas where you have demonstrated this aspect. If you do not have anything stellar to show in your profile, I would suggest taking gmat once again. Do not try to mix your Gmat score with other areas of the application.
I think you have ample time to go for a finally kill..

This is some news. So, Oct 30 is the interview deadlines for people interviewing in India or Indian passport holders? If both, then some people getting calls on Oct 30, will have interviews on Nov 15 (as per ISB) getting a 15 day notice.

Are you sure this is what they said? If it is, I am surprised.

Hi All,

I am an international applicant based in US and waiting for the interview call. I wrote an email to pgpadmissions requesting for the status of my application yesterday and got the prompt reply as follows :

We are still in the process of short listing the candidates.

If you are short listed, you will be informed one week prior to the interview date.
We will let you know the status of your application very soon.

Also all international calls are going out till 5th Nov,so we can expect calls anytime from today till 5th Nov.

All the best to everyone..

There is still a lot of time left for the interviews. Ad Com can only take a few international intreviews a day because of the time difference., especially US candidates.

Assuming that they take 10 international interviews per day and there are still 17 weekdays left until November 15th (leaving weekends for Indian applicants), there are still 170 potential interviews to be scheduled.

Don't worry much at this point.

You can't really include the dates until 29th as the interview calls for those dates have already been sent out. Hence, if you were to take the dates from Oct 30 to Nov 15, there are 11 weekdays and hence, possibly around 110 calls yet to be made?
