That might be for ppl like me who were trying to be smarter last year, playing with the 300 word limit, I think x/y is also counted as 2 words and not one.

however, my essays are 275 / 282 / 281 / 256 words each

essay content is good but is length an issue that can adversely impact shortlisting for an interview ?

thanks !

CTC / gross annual income

I am self employed, and am uploading my latest IT Returns. Does CTC include Income, Taxable Perquisites, other Perquisites and Dividend received from company ?

I'm sure they concentratin more on the content mohan, IMHO there won't be any adverse impact.......if the content is there then u go to the IV ....ofcourse it depends on the rest of ur Profile..

I have mentioned ELP and GCP.....and i'm sure they wld atleast test ur basic knowledge abt the courses in the IVs.....I mean I'm sure that we wld be mentioning these as reason to join ISB or means to land a dream job....in either case we shld have enough info to take such a decision....so in short...yup....i wld expect a few qs in the IV

Dude,, you dont need to have a 300Word to have a good essay. What matters is whether you have the right and clear content in your essays.

I think content matters more than number of words...but if you have anything that significantly affects your profile, please write it and make sure it is inline with the question asked because, sometimes, trying to fill up the 300 word may dilute the strength of your content. You can think of many areas in your profile for 1st and 4th essays.

Moreover, if the content is organized in such a way that the reader will feel a push to meet you by the time he finishes reading the 4th essay, that would be the best thing IMO.

I see that spread sheet contains only 20 profiles.
People please add your profile to the spreadsheet as I had said earlier it wont take more than 2 minutes...

I guess many many applications are already submitted to ISB and I am sure atleast 30-40% (I am sure on the lower side) have kept an eye this forum. Common pagalyguy is the best source of info for ISB apart from Indian School of Business, Executive Education, Business Research, B-school itself. So hopefully we will seeing more profiles added to that spreadsheet in a few days time.

As far as I know, CTC is the total Cost spent by the company on an employee.
