hey guys,
I went thru the other thread where applicants had shared their experiences for those May2009 GD/PI entrants (
http://www.pagalguy.com/.../36576-aim-2009-gd-pi-call-24.html (AIM 2009- GD/PI Call Getters)) and these are a couple of points I took away from all of the discussions:
1) There is something called PG-Connect (
http://pagalguy.com/connect) where we can register the times and location of our various GDs. Right now, since I'm assuming no-one has the date/time sent to them as yet, you can only add AIM in the list as part of the dashboard.
2) The PI portion of the entire day seems to be something fairly straightforward - based on yr essays and performance in the GD portion. *However* since the GD bit hinges on smooth interaction and exchange of ideas - no matter what the case study is - it wud be best for all of us to meet at least once
in person to just get to know each other so that we arne't complete strangers on the day of the GD. While forming online communities isn't a bad thing, nothing beats meeting IRL
2a) Seeing the response rate of ppl in pagalguy, im guessing that we make up a small percentage of those applied/attending GDs. So lets take advantage of this as much as possible :P
3) One person had suggested (in the thread mentioned above) that he prepped for the GD bit by watching tv talk shows (like "Face of the Nation" on CNN-IBN) to observe body language and general interaction.
4) Reviewing one's essays/entire application and CV would also be a good idea, since it has been sometime since we have read all that post-submission. Just so that we know what to talk about during the PI - whether real or fake (kidding)
Whew! This has been one of my longer posts - apologies for that! Im getting excited for it..
*T minus...28 odd days till the GD/PI*
