hi all

there is a little update for the Sept batch joinees ....

The Pre-MBA course which used to be optional since past few batches, has been made a part of the MBA course.

In this September batch, the course would begin from the 7th Sept (which includes the Pre-MBA course for everyone).

I confirmed this from the admission office in Manila.

Thanks & Regards

wow that is great news!
question tho, do you have to pay extra for the PRE-MBA still? or is it included in the usual fee na?
because as i recall if you take the PRE-MBA, there is an extra fee.

thanks!

I dont think that we need to pay anything extra for the Pre-MBA now, as it has become a part of the MBA curriculum......or else they would have mentioned about it. (I had aksed about the Pre-MBA thing in one of my mails to the admission office).

Moreover, it makes no sense to charge anything extra for 'a part of the course' when they are charging for the 'entire course'.

Re: AIM Manila SY 2009 - 14-04-2009, 02:49 PM

With April month coming to its mid-way.....the time has come to ask the important question - Who all are joining in the May Batch?

[as of now, I know just one friend of mine who is joining in the May batch, his name is Saumya Abhinay. Who else are in the May batch joinee list? ]

Also, for some of us, willing to join in the Sept batch 20th April is the last day for sending the USD 400 Demand Draft. Who all are in? or, are on the verge of being in the list of joineed for the Sept batch?

would be great if people start start sharing their willingness to join or not........

hope to hear from you all

thanks & regards

sarsij

Re: AIM Manila SY 2009 - 14-04-2009, 07:05 PM

hi puys,
the sep-09 GD/PI shortlist postponement has me really anxious. am banking on AIM, else have to go thru this process all over again. my profile:

X - 83% (ICSE)
XII - 81% (ISCE)
B.E.(EEE) - 63% (VTU, Belgaum) dropped one year after my 12th for JEE preps.
Extra-curriculars - decent. (have been into lot of quizzing since college & at the corporate level; environmental issues etc.; have presented a couple of technical papers at IEEE conferences etc.)
Workex - almost 4 years in IT. (cognizant)

i took the AIMAT on the 7th of december & it went OK! my main worry is my B.E. marks...i had a back paper in one of my semesters & a couple of second classes (<60%). now with this profile, & the typical Indian IT work ex how good are my chances to convert an AIM call? i don't even know whether i will be shortlisted for the GD/PI round..but have been following this thread & am optimistic about it.
Assuming, i can perform well in my GD/PI how much will this not-so-pleasant acads affect my chances? someone had posted in this thread that AIM is trying to cap the number of Indian IT applicants...is that true?
would love to hear from you on this..especially people who are studying out there & are pretty much familiar about the selection process! looking forward to hearing from you all..! please do not hesitate to give me the true picture, however unpleasant it may seem...have to take stock of the situation & move ahead accordingly! thanx in advance!

cheers

hi......all I can suggest you is to relax and prepare for GD/PI........I dont think that your score in engineering is bad.........or your score in engineering could turn out to be fatal........

just relax.........and stay positive towards everything......you never know what quality of your would impress the person interviewing you.

By the way 4 yrs if work-ex would certainly add value to your profile....so just be positive.......

cheers
