See.. the point is.. we've already applied and there's nothing else we can do. We can just hope that each of us gets picked up because of the strong points of his/her profile...

My profile is the typical IIM (Indian IT Male), 700+ GMAT profile. So don't think that my application can be selected without an interview coz the profile is not impeccable. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

without an interview ..i cannot get a call..i am sure about that..with 2 yrs jobex...
so forgetting duke...nothin much can be done..its a ding..better find new options..

I was always appehnesive about applying in EA. The result date left only 1 Month between application deadline and result date. Considering that it took another 10 days for them to get applications completed( missing transcript etc) , it leaves only 15-20 days to review application , schedule interview and compile result, that too on a global level, very difficult I felt . I evn asked the same question from a Duke rep at MBA fair in Delhi , but he jst gave a run of the mill answer.

I guess considering the timelines involved , we might have missed a trick or two by jst gunning for statistical advantage of applying in EA.

anyone looking at duke for rnd 2? any idea howz the competition for rnd 2? it it at par with other rnd 2's or shld it be considered as a rnd 3( coz of the EA) and hence an uphill task????

I am going to have an Alumni Intv this friday. My interviewer called me up to inform me that he wouldn't be able to take this intv today ( As I originally scheduled).

I understand there is anxiety over the forum around the intv calls. This is not to disappoint anyone but I have learnt from a current student in a recent conversation that most of the Duke Alumni Intv calls are after assesment of profile especially from large represented countries such as India since they face challenge to fit in everyone.

Given that fact, Duke is one of the school that don't use Intv as do or die like most other schools. I know of people who were waitlisted without interview, called for interview later, and admitted. There were people who were admitted without interview ( 10-15% of class). Having said that, it also makes sense to keep your back up option flying !!

Hi Sriram...Congrats for the interview call. My piece of advice is that pls do your homework for the interview and be clear abt your reasons for an MBA at Duke. Especially your career path after an MBA and what you would bring to the class room as a person.
My interview was very exhaustive and i was asked all possible questions i could ever imagine! I wish you gud luck
