dint find any thread for UNC aspirants. so starting a new one.

GMAT - 710(Q49 V37) AWA 5.0
Workex - 5yrs till date(teaching,manufacturing and CAE)

targeting R1(24/10)

Essay questions:
1. What are the 2 or 3 strengths or characteristics that have driven your career success thus far? Do you have other strengths that you would like to leverage in the future? Your response should not exceed 500 words

2. Briefly describe the career path you intend to pursue immediately after b-school. Explain why this career option appeals to you and why an MBA is appropriate at this time. Your response should not exceed 500 words.

3. What personal qualities or life experiences distinguish you from other applicants? How do these qualities or experiences equip you to contribute to Kenan-Flagler? Your response should not exceed 500 words.

4. What do you expect from your MBA program? How and when will you measure the return on your investment in the MBA? Your response should not exceed 500 words.

5. If your GMAT quantitative score is low, or if you have not had coursework in calculus, microeconomics, statistics and financial accounting, please tell us how you plan to prepare yourself for the quantitative MBA curriculum. 300 words maximum.(Optional)

6. Is there anything else you think the Admissions Committee should know about you in order to evaluate your candidacy? 300 words maximum.(Optional)

Format:
At the top of each page, include your full name and the number of the question you are answering. Use at least 11-point font, and 1.5 line spacing. Documents in *.doc format are preferable, but *.pdf and *.txt files are acceptable

I started with Q1 and almost nearing completion

posting my approach. any suggestions/comments are welcome

  • Mentioned 3 strengths which fall in the purview of the selection criteria
  • brought out strengths with an illustration
  • the second part refers to the latent strengths
  • need to show where did these strengths emanate from

count me too for KFBS. I am also targetting R1.

GMAT: 710 (Q: 48, V: 40)
Work experience: 3.3 years in IT till date.
Undergrad: BITS-PILANI (2005 pass out) with 8.2/10 CGPA
Extra curriculars and community exp: Strong

Will try to go for R1 as KFBS is one of my top options.

M / 27 / 5+ years of work ex/ 1+ years international / 710
I'm interested in Finance particularly investment management.
Also i'm a CFA Level 1 candidate...What about you guys..

I might visit the school, though I'm not sure if I'd be able to do so before R1.
