Vijay Babu
Do you not recall I having responded to you couple of times on how to get to Dadar or where HMATC hai? Kucch kaam aaya or was useless?
Yes sir, did visit catering college on 15. then again on 16 for GD/PI.
What a joke this GD thing was - I mean you can call all interviews a GD if you have more than 1 interviewer (group mein discussion hee ho raha thha na - kisi ka personal to hua hee nahi)

Answer: Guess the Q -
19-12-2008, 01:17 AM
I asked a valid professional Q; I still stand by my claim; leave it to you all puys to decide if the Q deserved an answer or not (ye alag baat hai ki hamaara i/v second-last thha aur adcom ko ho sakta hai ki bhookh lag gayee ho; mai tou baahar wait karte karte 2 chai-5 biscuits-4 sutta laga gaya thha)
My Q:
{3 solid stats projecting iimL lucknow campus in shining light}. Whatever I said is known of L campus. Is any of these carried over to N campus? If not, then what sets apart iimL-NC 1 year course from its peer courses?
Do I not have a right to ask what's so great about you that you are charging me 12L (c'mon man, huge amount it is irrespective of being less than the peer colleges)?

Rishi-Muni / Scientist type ke tou bahut kam log apply kar rahey hain bhai- Money is definitely a more important factor than attaining 'nirvana'. So, current financial situation matters to us all.
How I see it- it's an investment of time + money + energy to attain some goals that are personal to everybody.
- Delay it by an year? But a lot of us have already been doing that!
- Predict the market? Uhh forget it! Nobody can.
- Have an equally good alternate to attain ur goals: Weight it against an MBA and go for what is (and not appears) more lucrative.
- Cannot decide? Toss the coin, or better still join me over a round of Jameson / Antiquity...

But there is also a possibility where some of us could take sabbatical leave and consider the one year at PGPX as just a time duration where we got the opportunity to learn lot of new things.
There will be bigger downturn next year as I see from the industry I come from.So one needs to be prepared for the hardships.
But on the upside you will be the first ones to benefit having completed the course at IIML, once things get normal.
Yes the investment in terms of amount of money we invest in the course, is something which everyone has to consider from there personal point of view.

I believe the first shortlisting criteria for any of these 1 year MBA schools is not GMAT score but their FEES ! It automatically reduces the num of applicants to bare minimum who can afford to take huge debt.
I wonder why 1 year MBA should cost more than twice the cost of 2 year MBA from the same school itself ?
You spend half the time in the school & utilizing only half the time of prof/school resources.
You already come with basics of mgmnt becoz of more exp.
I know IIMs are great but if they do not give 1 year MBA much more value compared to what they already give for 2 yr MBA, the fees is not all reasonable.
In that regard, IIM B is the biggest culprit, IIM L-NC is def reasonable compared to that !!!
Do share your thoughts !

iiml nc bhi koi sandipan rishi ka ashram nahi , international immersion ke paise bhi tere ko hi dene padenge , aisa unhone apni website pe likha hai , 3 mahine canada me rahna padega wo bhi apne paise pe. To gaya na ye bhi 19 lacks ka course, apna ISB sahi hai is mamale me jo hai yaha tak ki dinner mess tak ka hisab bhi bata diya , jo he ye hi hai , koi hidden catch nahi ,
do also share your thought ,
crab bhai - zara batao toranto me 3 mahine rehne ka kitna lag jayega ????

mukki bhai...mana aapka ISB mein admit hai..par iska matlab yeh nahin ki doosre college ki dhajjiyan udaao without proper information. First of all International immersion at IIML is not 3 months its just 3-4 weeks. Also, apart from 12L fees at IIML, one have to pay his living costs for 3-4 weeks in Montreal, Canada which on a sharing basis should not cross more than $1000 per head including food. So, total cost comes out to be 12.5L, which is still pretty less compared to ~20L charged by IIMA,B and ISB.

looks like i m d last one here to share my i/v experience.. bcos it took place 3 hours back... V Con i/v...
it started wid as usual problems wid their webcam... audio not clear n what... then they asked me to keep my webcam on and called me on cell...
then it went for 15 mins.... job responsibilities, short term n long term goal after 'IMPX', examples of Techno-Managerial, technical and managerial development, risk taker/averter..
den came the topic.. indian leaders consider expediency and politics above economics...
my two ques - they said they have few faculty members stationed at noida campus(good one or bad ones on punishment duty) and not increasing seats for next few years(gurrr)
now i m joining u all in..... WAIT

You are right the two year MBA costs more to the institute, however it is subsidized by the government ,where as the one year program is yet to receive any independent budget etc from govt
