ymukesh, I haven't been interviewed yet. I will post my experience after my interview. I haven't added my profile to the list because I don't think it is going to make any difference to either you, I or someone else out here. We have less than 40 names out of more than 150 people shortlisted for the interview. one more missing name is not going to make any difference.

By the way, I was admitted to the first batch of IPMX and didn't join because of family reasons. I told the adcom as soon as I got to know that I would not be able to join. It's just ethical and fair to other applicants, since we all equally deserve these schools. Just because the schools think otherwise should not change this philosophy.

Hi All,

Had my interview this morning in Noida. 11 out of 16 called in the morning were present. case study "Indian economy already is slowdown will be badly hit by current terror attack" 20 minutes to write on this. then followed by interview:

interview Question on why mba why now. Current role. effect of slowdown on Indian It industry. some questions related to my profile, international experiance, cultural difference etc. It was 15-20 minutes of interview so could not conclude anything. Profile 720/IT/M 7.5 workexp.

I've made arrangements that I will not get selected. If you don't believe me, then its not my problem. There is only so much empathy that you can expect from a random poster on an unofficial MBA forum... Any issues please PM me.

jj no one owed anyone anything. Attending an interview when you most certainly know that you won't join is insecurity. I'm not insecure, but just raising an issue. I still can't fathom that someone can take all the time, pain and energy to not get selected. Atleast RK is being honest about his reasons and efforts.. Kudos to you man.. some POSITIVE mindset..anyways, I wanted you to respond and you did with your weird reasons.. I have nothing more to say.

Nobody owes anyone any seat here. Since I was the one who requested you to not attend the interview so I think I should also present my views here.

All I know is that you said that you will just meet people there and not attend the interview. But the fact is you did. I don't know what what was the reason behind this but you backed out on what you said earlier. I really don't care if you get selected or not, but as a question of morality I would have stayed away from the interview if I were you. You may be smart enough to get an admit from all the IIM's but it would been a great display of humility if you would have stepped out from this race. If one guys hogs all the offers then it unduly dealys other potential candidates chances of getting an offer. there is a reason that during placements in a business school you are out of the race once you have bagged 2 offers, otherwise people like you would try to get 20 offers and prevent others from getting the offers that you are sure you dont want, but accepted anyway.

We all live in a free world and you have every right to do whatever you think is right, but its time for some introspection. You should learn to make way for others if you are not interested in some opportunity. Thats a sign of a mature person.

Hi Puys,

I am describing my i/v experience. Am overseas candidate so we tried yahoo chat first. Webcam was working but some problem with voice. So they called on my mobile but asked me to leave webcam on for the duration of the interview. Interview started with my current job/employer and current client. Questions centered around my SOP and profile. My client is a big mgmt consultancy so lots of questions about them too and how I work with them. Went on for 20 mins and finally gave me a topic and asked me to write max 200 words on the topic and e-mail it to them within 1 hour. My topic was "money is the sixth sense without which one cannot enjoy the other five senses".
