Nirav.. U agreeing with me... :P Didnt expect that either!!! :P :P But hey Vineet... if u have ur own bizness, Oxford rocks!!!

Hi Vineet...

Guess you know me from school...
Well..here's my tuppence, coz me'z goin thru a career crossover too..as far stretched as it gets, from Homeo to Management!
This is how I see it - if you wanna change over to management, get into the best school that you can afford to (monetarily) get into.
From what I read on the thread, Oxford certainly makes more sense, international exposure , shorter duration et all.
Go for it, buddy!

Was going thru the link :
http://mba.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=2002rankings

I have nothing to do in this IIM-A v/s Oxford debate. But one thing is for sure - stay off this crappy list.

It's insane. AGSM is 84 and Mt.Eliza is 70.

Georgetown University - Robert Emmet McDonough School of Business ??? at 27.

Crazy !!

Hey!

Even I've had fascination for Oxford, and had the opportunity to visit it last year.

Was quite suprised to find the Said business school to be housed in all of one building (IIP M of UK? ). I met up with a few locals, and from what they told, the b-schoolers aren't really welcome since the purists at Oxford din't like the business mentality.

Lost most of my fascination for it after this, and haven't bothered to find out more.
Am still quite positive that the ranking is well deserved.

Hope it helps. All the best friend

Cheers
Neil

there are many colleges in oxford offering mba and you will be attending one of them, right? check whether that college is good in finance...also see whether 1 year mba is suitable for u...

anyway, we have a current oxford student on board, you may want to talk to him...see http://www.pagalguy.com/cat/viewtopi...ghlight=#49170

My friend... colleges are formed on the basis of subject they offer.

Business school in oxford is called SAID Business School and to the best of my knowledge thats the only place in the umbrellla of Oxford University who can offer MBA.

I may be wrong... you can guide me towards the source of right info.

Regards
