Just got an email from IIM-Indore:
"This is to inform you that your GD and PI scheduled for Tuesday, 18th March 2008 has been rescheduled to Thursday, 20th March 2008. This is due to the recent announcement of our Annual Convocation to be held on 18th March 2008."

WTF is this. How un-fukin-professional. Suddenly they realized that they have an annual convocation on 18th. I'll have to reschedule all my travel arrangements.

Hey all,
I am planning to take a few weeks off and go to Delhi to prepare for the GD/PI at IIMC. Anyone have any advice for what kind of coaching resources exist in Delhi and if anyone can give me a 2 week intensive GD/PI training?

Having lived outside of India for about 7 years, I am pretty clueless about the whole process as it is and want to make my prep break as useful as possible. Also, like I am sure is the case with all of us, I want this sooooooo baaadd!

Any advice appreciated!

Look for some thread on IIMs where people getting in from the front door () are discussing these issues.

Agreed! This is not the back door buddy In fact, we have way worse odds than the so called front door people (1 in roughly 10 as opposed to 1 in 3-4 for the CAT folks).

Is no one on this board indulging in any coaching for the interview at all? I thought I read in one of the posts here (but I cant find it now) where someone was posting about their experience, that it really helps to be professionally coached.

I did browse the CAT call getters threads though, and found some good info there, so thanks for the idea

I've got a call from IIMC(GMAT 710, Work Ex - 3 years) as well. How are you guys going about preparing? Apart from the questions related to yourself, what sort of current affairs happenings are you looking at?

And any good online resources for GD?

Hey everyone,

Just reached Mumbai last night. The weather is fantastic and it feels great to be back.

As an update (@ Pasta), I was talking to a few IIM students who mentioned that it might be helpful to take a crash course in GD/PI training. I don't think its a stretch to assume that almost 'every single' CAT applicant will be in these coaching classes, so if you guys do have the luxury/option/time then maybe it makes sense to get a feel for what to expect from these guys. Apparently, there is a 'formula' for cracking GD's. LOL!

I'll be probably looking into IMS or TIME to see if they have some sort of a week long session.

Second, I did receive confirmation from IIM C regarding my interview details. However have any of you received your form yet? Are we even supposed to receive a form? Anyway, remember to reply back to that confirmation email ASAP or else they will be emailing you again asking you to reply back to them.

I received an email asking to reconfirm my interview too (even though I had already confirmed it personally and over email). But I just replied to them again and got an OK from them.

Anyone got a checklist of what to bring to the IIMC interview? I haven't received any forms from the school yet either.
