Hello,
Thanks for your useful posts on the int' experience. Even i was given 3rd week of AUg for my 2nd interview. I preponed that by 10 days. After the iterview they told me that it should not take more than 3 weeks. and this is the 3rd week. I am expecting some news now.
It seems that they have recieved lots of applications in last few days..
But i did nt see many admits..till now..All the very best to all those who are applying... Quote:

I've found the Ivey folks to be very approachable. | It’s just the additional interview (career services) that makes Ivey’s interview process different from other schools. So, I don’t think Ivey career services team could ever waive of this off.

And yeap, I do agree that career services team arranges interviews on it’s own. However, the adcom thoroughly evaluates the feedback provided by the career team, before making a final decision.

But if go for a Pre-MBA internship with BCG or Monitor Group...You'll have to join in Fall co-hort. Last year, Ivey did offer pre-MBA summer internship opportunities with BCG and Monitor Group, to students who got admitted for the May Cohort. Both firms accepted applications in December/January and conducted interviews in Feb. Selected students were granted a deferred admission to start the classes in fall. Following pages contain some relevant information: Ivey MBA blog (200 : Internship for Ivey MBAs FAQ: Is it true that Ivey offers pre-MBA consulting internships? If so, how do I apply? And I haven't received updates on such opportunities for this year, yet. I'll update you, should I get some additional info.

I was pretty impressed by the clear and honest answers that they gave in response to my questions. | Good that you’d enjoyed the interviews.
To answer your concerns on the socializing aspects between Indians and Canadians, I don’t think there should ever be a problem. I’ve two reasons for this:
1.Indians form less than 10% in the class (around 7-8 guys). This automatically compels one to socialize not with friends but with classmates, given the rigor of the program and mutual dependencies that exist amongst students.
2.Canada is a receptive country for international skilled talent(this is more obvious from the new regulations on work permits offered for international students studying in Canada).
Check this http://www.sdc.uwo.ca/int/documents/...an_Culture.pdf for information on Cultural shocks, Canadian Culture, Race relations, Canadian Perceptions, questions to avoid, etc. You may also want to review this International Student Services.

Hello Friends, First, I would like to congratulate all of you, who have got admission. Well, I am also looking forward to getting admission at Ivey for spring 2009, but unlike you guys my profile is not that strong. I have submitted my application on 31st August. I have got GMAT score only 620 with Quant 49 Verbal 26 AWA 5.5. I have done BE from Punjab Technical University and ME from Anna University, Chennai and currently I am working with General Electric at Singapore. I have total 7 years of experience in manufacturing related Industries. Before joining GE, I was working with Siemens. As I am working at Singapore, so I was not able to send my transcripts from India and I have sent the photocopies of my original marks sheets and certificates. I don’t know whether they will consider my application or not. As you guys have got admission, can anyone of you tell me with this low score in GMAT is there any chance for me to get admission at Ivey?
