We are still to get in touch with the Admissions team at NBS regarding the CAT score acceptance. I did had a talk to few people from non - admissions team, but they are still in wait for final updates. I would suggest wait for final notification in the NBS website (it won't be long). In the meantime as soon as we get some information we would post it. Also refer to Puneet's post in previous pages.

NBS doesn't accepts applications from freshers. Please gain around 3 years of quality experience before applying.

P.S.: I am answering this question here instead of PM coz I want everyone to benefit from the information. Please don't send general questions in the PM although we would be very happy to answer non - general questions via PMs.

Hi,

540 is actually very low for NTU and I would suggest you to take GMAT once again. Also please refer to the various posts by Saurabh on this. You need to have around 700 score for NTU.

Specially in current batch, almost all indians have more than 700 score. Although GMAT is just one of the criteria to get the call, I think 700 GMAT score along with a good application (essay, career, extracurricular etc) will make your case stronger.

Thanks
Suresh

Hi NTU guys,

I saw this in the last year's application:

SOURCE OF FINANCE (Foreign applicants must attach documentary evidence of financial support)

Q: Is it necessary to show the proof b4 admission or it can be show after securing loan after admit mail is received.

Another
Q: What abt the partner MBAs
viz.
How good are they compared to NTU actual programme?
What are their cost considerations?
How is placement assistance/career Services for these dual degrees?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, there is still lots of information to come and don't worry we will provide you all with that as and when required.

I would say your experience (that too in IT) is bit towards lower side. I can't recall if there is anybody from IT in our batch with 2 yrs of experience by the time of joining. If you are not in hurry to do MBA, why not gather some more quality experience. Give it a thought. Let me know if you have more queries about your experience or profile.
Thanks saurabh...but can u throw some more light on the "quality experience" part...u mean to continue with IT or anything else?
I m looking forward to MBA in marketing or something similar to MICA..
Can u suggest some other colleges or anything else which can help me in planning out...
I need admission next year...means m in bit hurry...!!!

There is no need for such a proof before the application. Atleast in our batch this was the case (the same clause was mentioned in our time too). I will advice you to write directly to the admission committee and get a clarification for this year.

They are all good programs and you can get details on the site (both of Nanyang and specific bschool) for all these programs. Write to admission committee for these specific information as rules keep changing for each batch.

If your decision to consider Nanyang does not depend on these MBAs then the info below may be useful
You can opt for these double MBAs even after joining the course. So there is no real hurry from application point of view.

Cheers, Puneet

Hi brandmanager,

Your profile looks good. You have good experience both in terms of quality and quantity. Add-ons are Managerial, non-IT exp, handling customers etc. Your extra curricular also looks good and you have continued to show extra mileage by winning awards at work. I guess you can involve yourself more on social front. If you have been teaching under-privileged children other than tht of ur domestic help than it is certainly an add-on.

Your profile looks good in totality. Try to get a GMAT in 680+ range (one adv of not being from IT is tht u can manage with smwht skewed GMAT score as your profile is comparatively distinct) and I think u would have a strong case to put up.

Hope this helps…Cheers...Puneet
