Hi.
I have a query about the online application. The education details are to be filled separately for class XII first and then for B Tech next. There are two separate links to fill the two pieces of info. In both the links for filling the class XII and the B Tech details, a text box is given to explain gaps in education, if any. But I didnt have any gap in my education in that way .... I mean I finished my class XII in two years (1999 to 2001) and my BTech in 4 yrs(2002-2006). So I finished both in the stipulated time.
But as you can see I joined my B Tech course only in 2002 even though I passed class XII in 2001. (Prepared for JEE in that one yr). So my question is does this count as a gap in education? And if YES, should I explain this in the textbox provided in Class XII details or in the one for B Tech details?
Kindly resolve my dilemma.

Question 2:
We also have to upload our passport as part of the application. Does that mean a scanned copy of the first and last page of the passport will do?
Thank you for your time. | Slam,
1) There are two need based scholarships mentioned in the application. If you are applying for any one of them, then you have to write the scholarship essay. All merit based scholarships are listed on our website http://www.isb.edu/pgp/Scholarships.Shtml. For these, all formalities will be done only when the next batch starts.
2) Yes, that is all we require. Admissions Team

Sravan | Dear Sravan, please understand that we receive a large number of applications from the IT applicant pool, thus increasing the competition tremendously. As a result, the average GMAT score of this particular pool has gone up to 730 this year. Also, 730 is only the average which implies that we do have IT applicants with a GMAT score of less than 730. Dear Sir,
ISB is an amazing school and I have been trying to get into it for last two years. I was wait-listed last year before finally getting the 'rejection' letter.
What in your opinion, are the decisive factors that make a re-applicant successful in getting the final admission in ISB? What will you be looking at in the re-applicant essay to come out?
Will you be looking at quantified measures of 'success', such as - promotions, hikes etc? This does not happen every year! Or will you be looking for the overall thought process and drive of the applicant?
Any inputs will be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks Again,

Good Morning Sir, you mentioned that the average GMAT for the IT pool is 730. Can you also please give us the average GMAT for the non-IT or specifically for Finance work ex pool?

I apologize that I have slightly misrepresented the situation in my last post
I wish to apply to ISB in R1.
However, I am scheduled to go to USA on Sep 20.
Hence I wouldn't be able to upload any income proofs for my US stint, at least not by Sep 15 (the R1 deadline)
So in this case what would you suggest ?
Can I apply in R1 and upload/email my US income proof later in Oct?
Regards,
Applicant | | | | | | | |

Dear Sir,
I have a 690 gmat score but a very good profile in terms of academic background (9.7/10), work experience (3yr now) and impact made at my work place (one of the top performers). Should I retake the gmat and apply in the second round or apply early now. I work for an IT MNC but have been on the management track at my company for more than 1.5 years now.
Will a low gmat score have a negetive effect on my application and what are the minimum verbal and quant percentiles to make the cut? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
