i just passed out with an avg score and iam now in my family business
my queries are as follows-
Do i have a realistic chance of gettin through if i get a good gmat score
secondly if iam working in my family business, does that count as work experience?
and whose letter of recommendation would be required in my case??
thanks for your time | Vaibhav, As I mentioned earlier, we do a holistic evaluation of your profile. A good GMAT score does not guarantee admission to ISB but it will help you considerably. You can write about your poor academic record and the reasons behind it in the optional essay. Regarding your work exp, if this experience is full-time and if you can support this with relevant documents in your application, you can apply. The quality and relevance of your experience in your business will be critical. Recommendations from your father, friends and family will not be accepted. You should furnish recommendation from people with whom you have a strictly professional interaction like your clients, vendors etc.

Sir,
I have around four years experience and a very good gmat score. What is really backing me is my under graduate maarks since I had a tough time in completing it. Can you tell me how far it is going to affect my admission? | | | | | The Following User Says NO Thank You to thelastdance For This Un-useful Post:

Sir,
I think you missed my question on page 15 (#143)
Which Private Equity firms (PE) have come for recruitment to ISB? How many students get placed with PE firms post ISB?

Regards | Dear mbaqueries,
You query has not been overlooked. It has been forwarded to the placement cell and we are awaiting reply from their end. Please note that some queries might not be answered promptly, this is because we want to give you the correct statistics and gathering the same from various departments might take some time. Hope you understand.

Dear Sir,
I have a question regarding employment history. Do we have to submit any proof for all the previous employments mentioned in the application form? If yes, then what is the proof?

Hello Sir,
I have a query with regard to re-applicants.
Do I have to submit the recommendations again ?
I choose to ask this question because there will be not any change in the recommenders in my case. Can i choose to refer to older recommendations ? or Do i have to submit the complete application with fresh recommenations inspite of having the same people recommending me ?
regards,
Neo Rgds,

Thank you for answering my previous questions.
I have a query regarding class 10 and 12 percentages. I had schooling in the ICSE board and in this board, the normal practice is to not mention a percentage figure in the final mark sheet. At the back of the pass certificate, it is mentioned that to pass standard 10, one must pass English and any 4 subjects, and to pass standard 12, one needs to pass in English and any 3 subjects. Now, in both the board exams, I took 6 subjects. Since the board never mentions percentage, it was a normal practice in my school, that the percentage for class 10 was calculated taking English and best 4 subjects, while the percentage in class 12 was calculated taking English and best 3 subjects. Should I report the percentages like this, or should I calcuate among all 6 subjects?

Mr Menon,
Since, the min experience required for ISB is only yrs, i am very keen to know the value add of doing MBA @ ISB for mid-senior level managers, with 10+ Industry experience. Whats the % of exp folks in ISB and what kind of placements, lateral shifts, Role changes, these students could get?
Regards,
