MBA Profile based on Company

Hi,
I recently appeared for GMAT exam and secured a decent score.
I am working as a SW Engineer in one of top 3 Indian sw companies.
I m planning to quit this company and join a small product based company.I am planning to apply for colleges next year.
Now my question is whether joining a small company will anyway affect my chances of getting selected in a reputed B School either in India or abroad?
Can anyone clarify this please? How much of weigtage does a bschool give to companies from which its students come from?

Joining a big or small company doesn't matter so much as the quality of work you do. You could join Lehmann Bros or McKinsey and sit on the bench, twiddling your thumbs or join Jingawawa company and do an astonishing amount of work. If you can show this in your essays thats all that matters.
